This is a great screwdriver with the reputable VESSEL name, the blade pulls out of the handle and can be used as a stubby, it also ratchets. The collar where the bit snaps into is a little thick so if you are working on recessed screws it may not fit. however you could also purchase a replacement blade such as the (+2x150(6") Replacement Blade) and it would snap into the ball head, saving space in your tool bag. i mainly use this to repair copiers with JIS screws and so far it has worked for most tasks.

This is a different take on the ratcheting screwdriver. It's got a ball-hold, that fits in your palm. Seems made for reaching and more precise tasks. You can hold it still in your palm, and control the screwing with your fingers, the twist the hold thing to finish the job. It has a long, thin shaft. The yellow collar stiffly twists to control direction. Opposite twist of that to your desired direction. Hard to activate by accident, and a little hard to active intentionally also. Accepts the standard 1/4th inch bits, which secure by a VERY strong magnet with no locking function. Takes some force to get them out. Ratcheting is smooth, with a loud, metallic clicking sound. A little louder, and more metallic than most. The back ratchet is very light, easier than usual. Less likely to unscrew a less firmly planted screw. There is a little bit of lateral handle wiggle/slop, and some rotational wiggle also. About average for a good ratcheting driver. The handle is hard rubber where the knurling is, and hard plastic elsewhere. The way it fits in your hand, it feels more suited to precise work rather than brute force turning. Surprisingly comfortable. Easy to push down a little harder on the screw though with your palm. Overall, very nice and quite unique. I like how you can hold the screw in place and twist the shaft with your thumb and index finger to start, then twist with your wrist once it tightens up a little. Worth a try being so different from the traditional form. Above are come comparison photos for size and shape.

It works great I’m loving it. One word of advice when using the stubby mode bits can be extremely difficult to remove, be ready to use some pliers.

Just like my previous Vessel screwdriver purchases, this one shows an amazing degree of polish in its design and execution. The ratchet itself is extremely fine, while still feeling strong and bombproof. Switching from clockwise to counter clockwise and back seems a little less polished. The major exception to my praise is that the included, precise screw driver bit does not fit well in the 'stubby' ratcheting ball grip. Oh, it's plenty solid, and isn't going anywhere, but that's the problem. To remove it from the ball grip requires a pair of pliers to get it out. This is something that is totally unacceptable, especially since quality of design, fit, and finish are the attraction here. Anyone else having this problem?

This amazing ratcheting screwdriver is Made in Japan, and is a great value for the money and worth every penny! It has a very smooth tooth ratcheting mechanism. A very high quality and durable tool that anyone who uses tools for a living will appreciate. It's a great value for the money and worth every penny!

This tool is awesome. I own many drivers. I just wish the stubby driver was magnetic as well. It seems to have a clip that holds the bit a little too well. I had to use my pliers to remove it. Anyways, I recommend it to those technicians who use but and drivers frequently

I really like this tool. Ratchet works well. Feels good in my hand. Switches direction a little too easily while using, but I like it overall.

I thought this would be cumbersome with the changeable bit holder on the end, but the holder is milled in such a way that it is light and doesn't catch or snag in tight spaces. The ratchet is not as fine as I'd like, and the back drag is just a bit high, but it's perfectly usable and is a great carry when you are going to carry a variety of bits in your tool bag anyway. It supplements an impact driver well.

vesselのグリップが好きで、ビットで運用したかったため購入しました。 ・回転方向と逆に切り替えるので操作中に当たって反転してしまいやすい。の割に意図的に切り替えるには突起が浅く切り替えにくい。 ・スタビのビットホールドが硬過ぎる。 ・ラチェットのガタは並に有るが気にはならない。 ・ビットのガタは気にならない。 ・スタビとしても使えるのはあまりにも画期的。しかも先端側だけでもある程度使える。 ガタや切り替えについてはアネックスが勝るが、なぜvesselのボール形状はこんなにも魅力的なのか…

Vessel ist als Marke in Europa ziemlich unbekannt. Gerade die hervorragenden japanischen Handwerkzeuge sind schwierig zu bekommen. Schön dass Amazon hier inzwischen einen bequemeren Weg anbietet. Bei einer Bestellung dieses Ratschen-Schraubendreher muss man sich aber darauf einstellen, dass das Werkzeug aus den USA geliefert wird, wo Vessel auch offiziell vertreten ist. Zum Werkzeug: Ich liebe es. Er ist kompakt und durch die Kugelform extrem handlich. Wer die Schraubendreher von Vessel mal in der Hand gehabt hat, weiß was ich meine. Durch die lange und relativ schmale Spitze kommt man auch an schwierig zu erreichende Stellen. Die Ratsche funktioniert einwandfrei und ist leichtgängig. In Kombination mit dem dazugehörenden Bitset („VESSEL 30-teiliges Schraubendreher-Set, Torsion, Typ "Impact Ball" + Bithalter“) ist man praktisch für jeden Anwendungsfall gerüstet.
