I have had this watch for two weeks, and each day I find something new it can do. I love this watch. I works well with my Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The only apps I have used so far were the free ones, but they meet all my needs. This is the most accurate watch I have ever had on my wrist. I have never have found it to be off by a second. I compare it to the atomic clock transmitted from Colorado USA and it is always right on. The watch has a great battery. Most days when I take it off to go to sleep the watch shows 78 to 82 percent battery power left. If I stay up all night at my telescope, sleeping 2 or 3 hours between shots while wearing my watch, the next night I take off my watch and it shows 66 percent battery power left. This is a great battery. There are many free applications. It will take me several more weeks to figure it all out. So far I have a free application that allows me to record sounds. The microphone on the watch is very sensitive and shows good dynamic range. I used it at a doctors office to remember what the doctor said. I can then later google and translate anything complicate. Today my wife went to see the doctor about back pains. This watch was like pulling magic out of my hat. We got what the doc said, exactly. I like the flashlight application. I found my wife and I leaving a friends house late at night and needing to walk down a steep driveway in the dark. The watch magically appeared to light our path. You don't need a white horse to be a hero, just don't forget your S2. My wife and I attend Diamond approach spiritual workshops 4 times a year, and the teachings are recorded onto mp3 data files. I keep them stored in my S2 watch, so I can play them back through the speaker in my cell phone. It is very convent, to listen to 3 or 4 minutes, have a discussion for 2 minutes, and then continue on with the lesson. The teachings are about universal wisdom, and people who attend are of many religious perspectives. So the wisdom taught is non-conceptual, which means you must adsorb it slowly over time. Having the teachings in my S2 watch, allows me to adsorb more, and my new watch makes this more available. Operating the watch is easier than operating the cell phone. I have purchased a blue tooth headphones, and a blue tooth stereo speaker system. They arrived today, so in the next two weeks I will learn more about the capabilities of this wonderful watch. I have looked at the S3 watch, but the extra features will further drain and stress the battery. The cell phone already has those features, so I am happy with my refurbished S2 watch. As a retired Electrical Engineer and Software Engineer, who has fallen in love with astronomy. I look forward to learning enough about my S2 watch to connect it to my telescope. I want it to tell me when my automatic star guiding system has lost lock, so I can leave my warm house and go out and correct the problem. I expect to use a Raspberry Pi 3 to control the telescope, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to control the Raspberry and the S2 to handle unscheduled errors. Everything connecting to everything else.. life is good, and fun with my new S2 watch. My watch tells me it is 1:10 am and outside temperature (in Alabama) is 13 degrees F, so it is now time to visit my telescope to start a new target. To really watch the time like this you must of course be retired ! If you work still, you will find this watch useful, but not as much fun. Update: I did not like the plastic wrist band, so I got the Gear S2 Bands V-Moro Solid Stainless Steel Metal Replacement Band With AdaptersFor Samsung Gear S2 Smart Watch (Metal Black) located here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HD5SQLE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 you can see my review, I liked the combination, watch and metal watch band. Update 10/25/2021 The watch is still going great. Very happy and not quite ready to go to a newer model, it is part of everything I do, and still perfectly accurate to the second with the official time (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado. Great watch that has lasted and lasted. Update 12/02/2022 The watch is still going great. I have been considering upgrading to a Galaxy Watch 4 or 5, but what then would I do with my still good S2? Yes a new watch would allow me to answer the phone, but being retired also means that there is no need to be that connected. This watch is good.

The watch came in no name packaging, all accessories listed on the product description arrived with the watch. The watch is small, I mean it could pass as a youth watch. I'm a petite person, my wedding band is a size 5 with room to grow and this watch fits at the 3rd to last pinhole. The watch is amazing, fully functional and easy to use. I love that my phone and watch are so closely connected, but I can leave my phone in the car to charge and go inside a huge store and still receive me notifications(I haven't tested call quality at this distance) This is a certified refurbished product and it does not show any signs of previous use. It looks brand new. I've had it Ober a week, the charger still works. The battery last 2 days with normal use for me. Super easy to use, track activities, keep up on events and communications

I didn't need GPS. I didn't need to know how far I've walked. I didn't need a calorie or step count (being in a constant state of motion is what resulted in buying this Watch). Unless I hang up my hat for the night, my cell phone never goes off 'Silent' or 'Vibrate' mode. Courtesy to those that I work with. I would never feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. NEVER. I was missing calls and texts left and right. After a co-worker threatened to take me into a boxing ring (for never answering his calls), I knew I needed to do something. The S2 worked wonders. On my wrist, I do feel the notifications. If I'm uncertain, a quick check is seamless vs. digging in my pocket, pulling out, waking up and unlocking my phone. No problems answering a call, though I try to keep the exchanges short if I'm talking into the S2. Text returns, I do pull out the Cell (there are a couple of preset responses. 'Ok, Call you back, Hold on...' you can customize your own, but I'm not that generic.) This is my first Smart Watch. It was refurbished, but in excellent condition when I received it. No scuffs or scratches on the face. The 'turn dial' around the face that functions as a 'scroll bar' was smooth and responsive with every click. - Being the second handler, the battery might be past its prime. - Paired or Un-Paired, if you leave it off the charger and powered on, it will drain itself within 12-15 hrs. Most likely the Bluetooth: connected or scanning for devices. In 'Power Save' mode you can get close to 24 hrs, but you will be looking for a docking station immediately afterward. - Not Cool that if you want to sync your email, it doesn't allow your Gmail, Hotmail, Work, etc... directly (your not able to install Gmail directly onto the S2, or configure the default Email application to other Email Servers). You have to create a Samsung Account and sync it through them. With the two dozen Apps on my phone already syncing my Photos, Contacts, Calendar, Browser, (my phone being a Samsung, they've got a pretty good snapshot of my affairs already) and heaven knows what else that I'm not aware of, I didn't want to officially 'Agree' to my email traffic being diverted, scanned, analyzed, sorted, cataloged through Samsung's databases. - Customizing the 'Face' on the S2 was pretty straight forward. Once you have the 'Galaxy Wearable' App installed, it takes a little looking around but once your in, the customization's are plentiful. - The first software update took a moment. I could see the new version being installed on my phone. I had to go through the Menu Setting on the S2 to accept the update. Awesome, I hate it when it runs and makes changes without permission. But every time afterwards, I can see the S2 updates being downloaded to my phone, but when I check my S2 to Update, the option is grey'ed out as if it was done it already. Seamless and care free. I'm not about to go ripping through the brains of the operating system to undo Samsung's attempts to make the Smart Watch smart. :-) For my first Smart Watch, VERY happy with Samsung's Gear line. For my next watch, I would still check out other vendors, but I have no reservations in buying one brand new, now that I know what I'm buying.
