I thought this would be great to use for sheet music. However, there were issues with the page flipper: First off it’s noisy when activated through the foot switch or pressing the buttons on the page flipper itself. Second: the page flipper is designed to be used with books with a hard back (works best), I had to use page protectors with a small binder and even then the page didn’t flip well. I tried to use the page flipper today and now it won’t power on, purchased new batteries and the power supply has been tested and works, so something went bad inside the page turner. Other reviewers have mentioned the same issue. I would not recommend this product due to the poor engineering and product materials.

This machine is noise and has a tendency to jam. I will use it on my light things for practice, but not for when I play to record. I am disappointed in its performance..

I am sorry that I have to agree with the other one-star reviews. I had the same problem with difficulty loading the pages properly, noisy operation, and frequent (and inevitable) jams. Most of the time, after attempting to turn just one page, one of the turners would get stuck, and it would be jammed. I had to force it back to normal, after which it would just jam again. And this was the second unit I had, since the first wouldn't power up right out of the box. The customer service was very kind and helpful, but the product just doesn't work well.

I bought the PageFlip Lite a few months ago because I was frustrated with having to stop playing the piano every time I needed to turn a page. I received the product in a few days in great, brand-new condition. It came with the page turning unit, a wirelessly connecting foot pedal, power cord, book stand, and a carrying case (well-made, fits everything, great for traveling with the unit). The PageFlip Lite works great for practicing piano pieces with multiple pages. If you have music books, it is very easy and quick to set up. There are some tricks you need to learn if you have loose-leaf music. I suggest either hole-punching your music or putting it in plastic sheet protectors, then putting it in a bracketed folder to use in the pageflip unit. Binders will not work with the way the unit is set up. The foot pedal works very well, and it is great that it is wireless. My only issue with this product is the noise. Each time it turns a page, it makes a pretty loud, high-pitched whirring sound. This does not bother me at all while I am practicing. However, if you want to record or perform your music, you probably will not be able to use the PageFlip while you do so. That being said, I do not perform or record often, and mainly use this product for practicing anyway, so it was still worth it to me (NOTE: I purchased this from a third-party seller for about $70, rather than the $200 original price. I would not have purchased it for the full price, which is extremely expensive). My main point is: If you can get this at a lower-than-original price and mainly want to use it for practice, the PageFlip Lite is a great tool for a piano player (or any other kind of instrumentalist). If you mainly need it for recording or performing, the noise will probably eliminate it as an option.

It works exactly as advertised. Of course, as expected it takes a minute to load a book and only turns 10 pages back and forth. But lately I have been practicing one music piece out of a book. I found it very useful just keep that book loaded as I work on the piece over and over. To play something from a different book, I remove the unit without unloading the book. Major benefits are that it holds the book so you don't have to overlap other books on the sides to keep it in place, and it reduces the wear and tear (literally) from flipping pages back and forth dozens of times. A drawback is reloading if you regularly play more than one piece from the same book. I think it is worth the $99 price.
