Meinl FS-BK Foot Shaker,Black

Just the ticket for a lone acoustic guitar player. It has a bright clear easy sound on the ears with good projected volume, while alternate heel and toe tapping can mute the sound enough to make a subtle difference. A lovely well made and simple little instrument which I can only urge any player to buy. Highly recommended ......

I like Meinl gear its good quality and this is no exception. I use it with ukes and its loud enough. Many of the shakers Ive tried are too quiet. I'm not sure it would be loud enough to play with a heavily strummed guitar though.

excellent for adding a bit of percussive backing to your guitar playing.Assuming of course you have a foot that can tap in time. I have many friends who play but their feet seem to have their own rhythm. Would probably not work very well for them.27/3/2017 - Changing my review today as, only after a non particularly heavy dozen uses, it broke. The bit where the strap is attache to the hard plastic just snapped. Will be seeking a refund, if I can't fix it easily, as clearly the product is not strong enough to withstand reasonable use. I am now changing my review to 3 stars only but really, if it breaks that easily, it should possibly only be 2 stars. Shame as I like Meinl products as a rule. Maybe this is the exception.

Great little foot shaker,good sound and well made(velcro fastener so fits easily over wide footwear).still trying to figure out how to amplify it but its such a natural sound even acoustically.As i said in a review for the foot jingle shaker i cant believe its the same firm that makes both products?

I love playing guitar and singing, but wanted something simple to add a bit more to my performances. This was just right! It makes a lot of sound for a little instrument and it's comfortable on my foot. Excellent bit of kit!

Good quality, good sound. Wish delivery was faster but it's alright.

Great sound. Looks pretty hardy so expect the strap to last.

El envío llego antes de los esperado. Bien ahí por porte del vendedor.Es el primer shaker que he compró y lo pienso usar para acompañar mi guitarra. Los materiales se ven bien; en general plástico.El sonido, en mi opinión, es suave y de un nivel medio. El velcro y la base se ven resistentes.

This instrument has been almost a constant companion for my guitar playing and singing during the few weeks that I've had it. It's a great for providing soft percussion as accompaniment to one's guitar playing and singing.As an example, when singing the worship song "Your Love Never Fails", I bring the shaker in on the 2nd verse, accenting the 1st, 4th, and 7th beat on the verse and most of the bridge, the 2nd and 4th beat on the chorus, and an uneven beat toward the end of the bridge phrases where the rhythm gets weird. I plan to adapt the shaker for many more songs.Just don't expect much volume; for louder songs, I'd recommend the other foot instrument I use, the Latin Percussion LP188 Foot Tambourine.

Le niveau sonore est correct. L'utilisation peut se faire sur le pied ou sur la main.Un petit piezo collé entre le grelot et la chaussure et c'est gagné ...Très bon rapport/qualité/prix.

These work great! I use them for all my gigs. You will likely have to mic it to hear it if your playing plugged in but it’s loud enough for a small room without. The only issue I’ve had so far is that I pulled the strap a bit to hard to tighten it around my foot and it ripped where the screw is that holds the strap in. It’s easily fixable if you have a Phillips screwdriver handy. I just bought another one in case I ever run into that again. Overall great product.
