EgoIggo USB-C Hub yellow gold

I purchased my MacBook Pro a couple of weeks ago and I have been looking for a decent hub that would fulfil all my needs. I had looked at quite a few when I came across this one and took the plunge. Boy am I glad I did!I received it yesterday and wow. It's extremely well-designed. The rectangle part is an aluminium alloy that has a short cord to the USB-c plug.I really like how it's clean and simple with a small logo in the corner of the hub, unlike some of the other hubs I was looking at. I plugged in an external hard drive, printer, 2 USB thumb drives while using the USB-c charging port. I was trying to plug everything in and see if it can handle everything. No issues at all. Files transfer with ease while charging my MacBook Pro but I actually like to charge my MacBook directly into the laptop, so that'll be useful when I need to free up a USB-C port later.The colour matches my MacBook Pro. Instead of worrying about a tons of dongles, I have one hub I can just pick up and go.

Exactly what I needed. I've got so many USB 3,3.1, and USB 2 legacy devices as there are still few too many products that come with USB-C off the bat. So I've got 2 backup hard drives, a memory card reader, and HDMI output plugged in as well as my 100MbS wired LAN and the Mac power lead all in. It's an attractive design in a kind of brushed gold effect.Note: this product runs very hot. I contacted the supplier who told me that this is to be expected, they say that some manufacturers make them with a rubber seal to reduce heat, but which reduce the life of the products. This product, they say, simply has a metal casing which although runs quite hot does dissipate the heat from the internal electronics. I guess this is a good thing.

I only usually buy these kind of things having researched and researched and read every review possible. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a review of this at the time of buying but it had everything I needed to make my MacBook more productive and of course, it matched perfectly. So glad I took the risk, it's neat, small and light, so fits perfectly in my MacBook case pocket. So far I've not experienced any problems with it so would highly recommend.
