Advertised 120 TPI But I received A 60 TPI
My bike came with a Rekon on the rear so I wanted to match it on the front because of the weight and traction. A 120 tpi Rekon is what was advertised, but I received a 60 instead. The weight was significantly higher than the claimed weight too, so I had to return it for a refund. The review isn’t about the tire, rather about what I received instead.

Ensure you receive what you paid for
I ordered the 3C version and received the cheaper, heavier DC version. C'mon guys...

Great Tires!
I went tubeless with these tires and had no troubles. I put these tires on a 2018 Trek Fuel EX8 29 XT and I like the wider tires for grip. These tires let you run air pressures from 20 psi to 40 psi and I like to run in the low 20’s. When I wear these tires out I’ll more than likely by another set.

I haven't measured the tire but at 25 psi it doesn't look like a 2
The tires I had before were noby nic 2.35.These tires have a lot more traction compared to them. I noticed in Sandy areas and on steep inclines my tire doesn't slip. When going down hill I run the tires between 20-25 psi, it feels more smooth going over bumps, and I feel that I can lean the bike more before the tire slips. The one negative I do have is that you do feel the weight of the tires especially on initial take offs, but I think its well worth the extra traction you get.One other thing, I haven't measured the tire but at 25 psi it doesn't look like a 2.6, it looks more like a 2.4

Size runs a little small
Size (width) runs a bit small.I’d say 2.5 vs 2.6But I have not put calipers on them. They hold up well to colorado rocks and traction for typical colorado riding is good. This spring has been very wet on the front range and they lose a little in the mud...but they are not aggressive mid tires are they...

lighter, faster, more traction
Faster rolling than my High Roller II and Aggressor. The 2.6 has me around 20lbs on dirt trails and 22lbs on aggressive rock. They are lighter than both of those tires. Rekon 2.6 are responsive and planted in high speed aggressive trails. They are a bit of work to mount when new.

All around great tire
Great tire...stable and light. I use it as a front tire on my Bronson with the Maxxis DHR II on the back. Use it XC and DH...performed very well in wet and dry conditions. Only con is it gets a little unstable in deeper mud.

They ride well
Good looking tyre and traction is very good. Can be run at low pressure giving a great ride on heavy going. A bit expensive so time will tell if they are worth the price.
