will this crush beaded medication into powder?

I own this die cast metal pill crusher. It crushes pills really well. I have to take my Iron and other meds crushed to a powder form. It works marvelously. Not sure what beaded medication looks like. I have never tried to crush a capsule with its medicine inside. All my pills are solid, some are coated, and I have to crush them all to smitherines. It does that, and is very sturdy. Am glad I bought it. Leslie

Is this a Pill crusher shaped like legs?

They are not intentionally shaped like legs. I suppose one could make an argument that it does look like that. However either way, this product works very well!

Can a weak elderly person use this, or does it require some strength?

It does require some manual dexterity and a little force, depending upon what you are trying to crush. I use it crush huge vitamin pills, and that does require an ability to lift the handle and smash it down several times.

will this thing take a 5/8" diameter pill?

I had no problem with crushing pills as long as the pills were not too hard. If they were I had to push a couple times but it did crush them. I would recommend.
