Well it says Jim Dunlop on them
These arrived loose in a jiffy bagThe correct number arrivedThe thickness appeared reasonably uniformI wasn't able to check as I didn't have a micrometer. They all had a "chunk" missing out of the top. Some more pronounced than others. In short, not well manufactured, and not what the standard I expect from Jim Dunlop. They appear to work as my playing is as bad as normal.

The greatest plectrum.
I've tried hundreds of different plectra (yes, that's the plural) over the years, and these .73mm Jim Dunlop Nylons are my all-time favourite. They give a strong, bright sound with a full range of dynamics. The textured back makes them easy to grip. Every other kind of material seems to either wear down or snap, but these Nylons last forever. Just over 30p each for 12 is excellent value.

Really helped me to overcome plateau
So, I've been playing the mandolin for almost two years now, and I've reached a level where I'm not all that awful and I'm starting to play faster and more complex tunes.I had reached a significant plateau in my playing, however. I was struggling to play at faster tempos, and my ability to quickly jump between the various strings was way below par. Up till now, I had been using a solid, chunky Jim Dunlop 494P102, which has served me well and got me through the beginner phase of my playing. Then I got these picks and the difference in my playing was night and day. Not only was my playing much smoother, allowing me to quickly move between the strings, but the tone of my playing was far brighter and more akin to what a Mandolin should sound like, rather than the comparatively duller sound produced by my old pick. The picks themselves are incredibly thin (think even thinner than a credit card), which allows them to bend with every note played so that it feels like you're not even holding a pick. The picks have been a lifesaver for me!

What can one say about plectrums?
Well, I'll start with the guage. These are quite flexible but they still have enough stiffness to get quite a volume out of an acoustic with steel strings. I like flexible plectrums because they allow a large range of playing pressures with less risk of the plectrum falling out from between ones fingers. There is more of a "click" of the plectrum as it leaves the strings though, something you don't get with a stiffer plectrum. I actually use this additional sound as a sort of percussion section (it depends on how you hold the plectrum as to whether you'll hear it). I'd say this guage is good for a new guitarist, it'll smooth out your range of volumes and avoid your plectrums disappearing into the guitar hole because of slipping out your fingers. (They amazingly have a knack of finding the hole!)When I got them I thought, oh no, they've only sent 8, but, opening the packet revealed a 3-2-3-2 packing so there were 10 in all as advertised. They come in a long thin plastic "ribbon", almost vacuum sealed so you can't tell how many there are until you open it.You'll notice the slightly raised lettering on the plectrums. This is sufficient to give a good grip so is very handy.See! There are things one can say about plectrums!Enjoy your playing :)

My favourite thin picks
My favourite picks for strumming. Super light and flexible, you can really farther the strings nicely.Obviously it’s an individual thing, but if you like thin picks you’ll love these.

Short Life !
Although these plectrums work great at first they don't have much of a life expectancy! The product claims to be nylon but to me they seem to be of a plastic construction. I have used nylon plectrums over many years and they do not disintergrate-ever!Not impressed with this product but will continue to use while they disintergrate and hopefully I will find real nylon pluckers before the last one of these has fallen to bits

good quality for the mony
I have used Dunlop picks for many years, a year ago i was using 0.88mm picks but due to a spine problem I lost some use of my right hand and the pick kept dropping from my fingers, I bought sizes 0.33mm, 0.46mm, and 0.60mm and found that 0.046 done the job. I love Dunlop picks.

feels cheap and flimsy compared to my genuine Dunlop pick
bought these new dunlop picks as my old dunlop .73 was looking a little long in the tooth. the second I took the new pick out of the packet I could feel the difference. the new pick feels flimsy and cheap, like a Chinese knock off. the edges are not sheered off and leaves a think lip all the way around. holding between my old pick and the now in each hand and they aren't even comparable.don't know wants going on here but I'm not gonna be using these cheap crappy picks, ill go find some genuine Dunlops or if this in fact dunlops product, ill change to another brand.
