Clay Mug

These mugs are statement pieces as well as being functional. I keep them on my coffee bar along with my barista equipment. Their weight keeps our hot drinks hot much longer than most other mugs.

Great product. Simple but perfect for coffee

I love these mugs. They are so cute and hold the heat really well. I hate it when your drink gets cold before you can finish it. That was not the car with these. Love them.

These mugs are beautiful and a good size, but I’d like some information on the glaze being that they are not commercially made - I appreciate this about them, but want to be sure the glaze is lead/toxin free and that it is safe to drink hot beverages from.

We read all the really positive reviews and were excited to receive these cups. First we discovered that the dark brown glaze had spilled down the side of one of the cups. (See picture.) This flaw should never had gotten past quality control. When drinking our first cup of hot coffee, on one cup where the handle meets the cup at lower end the intersection point was so hot it burned a finger. Not true of the other cup. (??) But the deal breaker was that moisture migrates through the bottom of both cups onto the table surface. After it sits for a while, when lifting the cup you notice a brown ring of moisture on the table. The color is leaching from the cup itself. This will result in staining of any surface the cup sits on. Returning them. Buyer beware.

I purchased it as a gift and was pleasantly surprised at how nice these are. Hand wash only but that's okay they're really clay cups and need the extra care. The glaze on the inside is perfect it comes just over the top and the lip of the cup for drinking. The handles are small, but you can hold the cup without the handle, good size but not too big. The gift recipient was very happy and liked them and that they came from a small business.

I did not give this item a 5 star. 3 of 4 mugs arrived broken. Maybe the handling, Maybe the packaging. The 1 mug in good condition is perfect. I processed a return; it was fairly easy and as soon as dropped off the return at the UPS location I received a full refund. I'm taking the risk again and re-ordering. I hope they arrive in good condition. This is an authentic product.
