My first issue is that it doesn’t lock open like the stock Switch stand does. There is no audible click when it’s ready for stand position and if you even slightly push it further open it will disconnect from the Switch. This is a minor issue really because if you just stop once you hit resistance it holds well.The second and third issue deal with the little card hold on the stand. I don’t know why people will need a back up memory card and so I personally don’t see the point I adding a bulge to the stand to accommodate this feature. Now maybe there are people out there that will need to have more than one card or maybe they share a device and keep their own cards but I don’t need a second card so it seems like an odd addition.With that feature it also adds a noticeable bulge to the stand. Since I use a case on my Switch the bulge actually sits flat wth my case and helps to keep my shell case aligned correctly but if you don’t have a case on your Switch, then this stand won’t allow it to sit flatly on its back anymore. If I didn’t have a case then it would bother me and I probably wouldn’t have bought it so this is more reasoning that the card carrying feature was not only unnecessary but possibly troublesome for some users.Besides those issues the stand is not bad. I like that it’s metal and should be a bit more resilient than the plastic stand. I also really like that unlike my plastic kick stand, this metal one actually stays clipped to my device which is why despite the issues, this still gets a 4 star rating from me.It looks nice, it works, it’s affordable, and despite any issues I may have with it; I still think it’s a good purchase and can recommend it if you understand what you’re getting here. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Strong and rigid as described, a slight design error prevents the kick stand from pulling out all the way and clicking *by C***D on Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2017* As expected, it is strong and does not flex like the original kickstand. It is also heavier than I thought it would be (I think it is stainless steel). Only complaint is that it is slightly longer at the top near the pivot location and therefore when you pull out the kick stand it does not pull out all the way and click like the original stand (there is a piece of plastic in the kick stand cavity that the original kick stand would snap under to hold the kick stand out all the way) You can still pull it out that far and set the Switch down and it will stay and be usable. But once you move the switch, the kickstand will move back in towards the switch about 30%. It is still usable at that location too. If I can find a way to mod the kickstand and remove about 1mm from the top, I will do that so that it can snap. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Worthwhile for $5! *by Z***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2018* Perfect? No. Worth it? For $5, yes!On my Switch, it snaps in nicely when closing it, but doesn't click and stay open perfect when extending it. However, it still stays open better than the one it comes with. The storage of an extra MicroSD card if very nice, but I haven't used that yet. I also think it looks pretty cool on the back of the Switch.Just a note to help everyone out: Since you can store an extra MicroSD card in the stand, you would likely be switching cards once in a while.
