Great educational toy
The media could not be loaded. Our daughter has become interested in computers and electronics after watching and playing with her dad and his gadgets. So when I saw this come up I felt that it would be a good way for her to learn about how electrical circuits work with her dad.The set is comprised of an electrical board that has fixed LEDs, resistors, capacitors and switches. There is a simple motor that is separate and slots into the board, and a separate battery compartment. The only downside is that the battery compartment doesn't seem to clip on like the motor, so it does seem to move/slip when connecting the wires. The pack comes with a set of basic wires of 2sizes to complete the circuits. The wires are connected to the board via metal spring 'cones', which easily allow them to be removed and reconnected without damage to the wires or the board. The instructions are well designed and explain how to connect the different circuits to light the leds, or the motor etc.My daughter is 7 and found the diagrams easy to follow to complete the circuits. She enjoyed setting them up and the different results she found. The variety of components are fairly limited, making the results fairly basic. However my husband found modifying the diagrams slightly helped increase the different results, IE alternating the light and motor in a circuit. It doesn't really explain series or parallel circuits, but it's a fairly good way to introduce basic electronics to younger children .This seems a good ,safe way to start learning about electrical circuits for younger children with minimum help from an adult required.Great set for learning and fun.

Disappointed, such a cheap quality product, way overpriced, wires not even pre-cut
I am extremely disappointed with this product to say the least, I cannot believe this item costs over £30 to get the following:1) Extremely cheap plastic,2) Badly finished product, notice the photos the plastic still have some left-overs that has not been cleaned up properly.3) It comes with only one long wire that the user has to spend more time cutting and shaping.4) The bottom side is screwed with a "cardboard paper" as opposed to a proper plastic or wood, so easy to pinch a hole in it by accident.5) The kit comes with only 2 transistors, few caps and few res, nothing special like an IC or other "interesting" elements.6) Circuits documented were extremely basic and does not help with any learning.Unfortunately, I did not like this item at all, wish I could recommend it.

My son was hooked
The media could not be loaded. This arrived and as soon as my 11 year old son got home he couldn't wait to open it. Initially I was surprised at the size, it is smaller than I expected. We sat down together I opened the instructions leaflet but before I could even start to read my son popped off and came back with batteries (you'll need 2 AA batteries) and was already adding wires, he seemed to know what he was doing which is odd as this is the first set of this nature we have had. Wasn't long and he had the fan spinning! He moved onto some of the more complicated experiments and did use the instructions. With next to no help from me he took his time, wired it all and double checked all his connections when it didn't work first time.I have to be honest he's not the most patient of children but he seemed very intent on this, wanting to do it on his own and really took pride once he completed the task correctly.I can see him getting a lot of entertainment out of this circuit toy.

Electrical science explained… and a whizzy fan
The media could not be loaded. Great for inquisitive minds of any age! Super easy use pre-built circuit board laid out with LEDs, resistors, transformers, motor and switches. x2 AA battery powered so very safe, connections are made using simple wire (easy to add more if required) and springs. Instructions for 18 circuits of varying complexity or build your own. It’s a great practical demonstration of the logic of electronic components and ‘how stuff works’. Oh there’s a whizzy fan that’ll fly 6’ in the air if they get bored of variable resistors!

A Good Starter Kit
I was a little disappointed with this product as it was small and flimsy. It isn’t robust but does have all the interesting features stated. My grandson enjoyed it but I found the wiring fiddly and the thin plastic base would crack easily. I also thought it was a bit pricey.

Educational fun
👀 First impressionsSmaller than expected but looks intriguingℹ️ What/When will it be used?As an educational toy for 8+.📦 How is it Packaged - What’s it made from?It comes in a branded cardboard box✅ What do I like about this product? My 11 year old really enjoyed this and it kept him engaged. He’s been doing circuits at school but not as complex as some of these so it was good to build on what he’d learned already. He read the instructions which were easy to follow and there are 18 different circuits to built. They start off with the more basic ones building up to more complex circuits. It has switches and microphones, resistors, a light and a rotor with a fan that releases up to the ceiling.❌ What could be better? You’ll need 2 AA batteries (not included)🤝 Summary…A really engaging educational toy to teach them about circuits.I hope you found this review helpful
