This was such a simple process and created some pretty potent yet tasty lager, which was ideal for a student flat looking to save some money. It worked surprisingly well considering the temperature wasn't kept very constant as we simply used a brew bucket in an empty cupboard. The taste wasn't anything fancy but it was quite drinkable which is to be expected from a lager. We have since tried the European lager and I must say the consensus is that this was the superior choice. We didn't have a hydrometer but as a group of fairly experienced students (drinkers) we felt this was fairly strong, probably between 6-7%.The only downside would be that it was too simple if you really want to feel like you've crafted a beer yourself.

I rate kit highly. I've brewed a fair few kits before and almost all have had the home brew "offish" taste. This one however tastes like commercial beer. I used a corny keg with co2 after primary fermentation (where I used the full kilo of sugar) rather than adding sugar for secondary fermentation. After a week conditioning and carbonating at 15 psi I'm happy with the result. Recommended

This beer is lovely. I made it as my 2nd home brew, its very easy and makes a fantastic tasting beer. Quite similar to corona, so if thats what you like then this is for you!

Nice and mild. Brews as per usual. Coopers an excellent brant.

Easy to brew and good instructions. Would recommend for people who like a good light beer.
