There is one plate come with 2 holes for the handle, just screw in the handle. One plate is for push, one is for handle pull.

How long are the handle screws? Are they long enough to mount the handle through the door?

No. The screws are intended to mount handle to one plate only. The other plate has no handle holes provided. Also of note; the handle is hollow.
