i’m wearing the 3mm sized earring on my tragus and it fits perfectly as far as length and thickness! the back is a bit on the thick side, but if it were thinner it would be even harder to screw on lol

I pierced my seconds at home and if you are going to do the same please buy these! They are perfect for sensitive ears, don’t tarnish, and are very comfortable. the flat backs give room for healing. They have no problem getting washed twice a day, showers, pools, etc. If you put these on by yourself, they often unscrew easily. If you get someone to screw them for you, they work better. Picture is only 7 days after piercing!
