Barnetts Mega Sour Assorted Flavour Sweets, 500 g

There's sour sweets, super sour, mega sour, extreme sour, then there are these Barrets sour. My god these are super extra powerful sour. Knocks every other toxic super sour sweet out of the park! Almost painful to eat, do not do more than 2 or 3 a day unless you want to strip the skin off the inside of your cheeks and tongue, they leave your teeth kind of dry as well , despite producing lots of saliva (which is why I bought due to a dry mouth / saliva issue I was having) My work colleague had a couple, sucked each one in his cheek, and is still complaining weeks later his cheek is still raw! So eat with caution. I loved them, but like alcohol, eat sensibly and in small portions or suffer the consequences. I think they have a warning on the bag, not suitable for under 8, and to restrict consumption, and I'd agree with that!

First off, this comes as half a kilo for the price, much better than anything else listed currently. As a person who appreciates sour sweets, I expected these to be disappointing, but a little sour. My expectations were humbled. For the sake of your teeth, the skin inside your mouth, and your ability to drink hot coffee for the next 48 hours, do not have more than 1 per day. It really is that sour. Also when the sour fades, the sweet tastes good too, if you have any taste buds left. Cheers.

These are sour for like a minute then there a boiled sweet some have sherbet in the middle some don't, You need to be careful if giving to young children as there sharp once the sugar coating has gone, they have sharp holes in them. They do last a while and taste nice and fruity when the coating has gone. Recommend if you want a very quick sour taste. Thanks seller and Amazon, they will see me through Christmas. Wont buy again.

If you like sour, you will love this. Word of warning though, don’t have more than 1 at a time, or even 1 every day in a row. They taste like battery acid at first and will literally burn the skin off the roof of your mouth, disintegrate your tongue, and take the enamel off your teeth. Good for a laugh though, but don’t have one every time you get someone else to have one. Once you’ve got past the initial sourness it’s actually a pretty nice sherbet sweet.

OK, so these sweets do what they're supposed to do - they're very, very sour on the outside and then pretty nice one you get past that. EXCEPT the citric acid on them is really agressive on teeth. I had five or six on the day I received them, and my teeth were super-sensitive for a week after. The sour coating simply attacked my dental enamel and things only were back to normal after a week of using Sensodyne. So I'd recommend these sweets to people with dentures or who want dentures. 10/10 for them. 1/10 for everyone else.

The candies are sour for sure, but as usual with products like this basically the coating only is super sour. Once you get through the inital sourness which lasts for maybe 40 seconds to a minute the rest of the candy is pretty mediocre in flavour and not sour at all. Overall a fun experience handing these out to unsuspecting friends and family and see how they react, so far 50-50 with regards to how many have spat them out and how many kept them in. Sourest candy any of my friends have eaten by far! As a fun gimmick I'd say buy them. But for eating regularly they are too pricey, especially with the delivery fees from UK to Finland.

I was disappointed that the sweets weren't the colours or flavours as advertised. There are 5 flavours in total. The sweets are the sourest sweets I've ever had, beating toxic waste, but so extreme it tore strips off my tongue. I could only eat 3 sweets and it was stinging like hell. I looked in the mirror and my tongue was bleeding. My tongue is still bad the following day and cannot tolerate another sweet right now. After the acidic taste wears off they are actually a nice sweet, but unfortunately I won't be buying again.

My son is a sour sweet lover and wanted to try the world’s most sour sweet. I came across these and thought they can’t be that sour! He tried one and it almost blew off his head and he couldn’t even tolerate it!! On a scale of 0-10 on sourness I would score it a 100! Good value for money too! The flavour is nice once the initial sourness goes but it comes back and back and back!

do not fall for these sour candy. Bought them for a game, luckily after receiving I tried them first. These are not more sour as any ordinair sour candy. I'm extremily dissapointed by this candy! :(
