These seed trays with lights are fantastic. Each of the 5 trays is a propagator with 12 seed modules they are well put together an feel sturdy. Each propagator has a lighting system which is easy to operate and you can control the intensity of light with a simple control.I have only had the system for a couple of days and already I have germinated lettuce, spinach and kale and although it is early stages I have little doubt this product will be fantastic. In all superb value for money.

Great product IMHO. A big leap forwards from the old seed trays that I used years ago. These new little trays have 12 individual pods per tray which are deep enough to get a good root system established before needing to pot on. The "plugs" can then be extracted without disturbing the rooting system too much (which can otherwise be an issue for salad seedlings, which don't like disturbance). So this means you can germinate under very controlled conditions and then pot-on after hardening the seedlings.The clear plastic pod tray has a small hole at the bottom of each pod and this tray fits inside an outer (green) tray that has no drainage holes. If you over-water, the excess water drains into the green tray and doesn't waterlog your seedlings. Or if you put some water in the bottom (green) tray, the young plant will take the water it needs from the reservoir below.The dome is tall enough for good air circulation and also young plant growth. The lid has a rotating disc that allows ventilation (or not, depending on what stage of propagation your seedlings are at). Each disc has 4 little lights that are a "grow light" wavelength and work off a USB connection (no USB charging plug supplied). The lights can be on constant, or a timer of 4, 8, 12 or 16 hours. No instructions, but I think after switching on the lights, one press of the timer button gives 4 hours, 2 presses 8 hours, 3 presses 12 hours, etc.So, for the first time, I have really good control over germination and propagation of seedlings, with supplemental lighting, which is so often needed in the UK in the early months of the year when there are so many dull days. Also when germinating and propagating indoors (I don't have a greenhouse) there isn't a mess everywhere from dirty water damaging the surface the seed trays are sitting on.Not bad value, provided the lights keep working for a few years - wait and see.

Was so excited to receive these after reading the reviews, only to find out one pack was missing the 6 circle Led lights! I immediately requested a return for a refund on that pack. So far, quite pleased with the others, bit smaller than I expected but still great! Will have to see how long it takes for my seedlings to grow!

Received the item just an hour ago like everyone else ,surprised at the neat small and tidy packaging ,then surprised at the sturdy quality of the green base trays but thought the top trays were a bit flimsy but I'm sure they will survive plugged in all the light connectors and for the first couple of tries one wouldn't work tried it again about half an hour later and all 6 are working well ,so I'm very happy with this purchase and looking forward to starting off my seed germination in the next couple of weeks

Bought this a few weeks ago and left the review until I'd had time to try it out. Works perfectly, timer function fine. Light brightness is useful as the seeds grew I turned it down as they got closer to the lid. Build quality is good, sturdy seed container worked fine when I had to dig the seedling out to pot on. Overall really impressed.
