The media could not be loaded.  So I figured I'd train my lungs for deeper breaths and this seems helpful. I probably should've looked into it more first, as I didn't expect it to be for breathing in, rather than out. The device is relatively simple. It has a hard clear plastic body with 3 plastic balls in it, one in each tube. There is a side channel that you connect a thin plastic tube to and that is where you breath in from. The top of each plastic ball tube has a hole drilled in which connects to the breathing tube, with the red ball having a large hole, the blue a medium sized hole, and the yellow with the smallest hole. When you suck on the tube, the negative pressure draws up the balls, with the red ball first because it has the largest hole. The balls block their individual holes, forcing the next ball to move.This essentially just tests how fast you're breathing in, as the rate at which you breath in affects how many balls move up. It kind of works for training but the breathing in speed needs to be pretty fast for it to pull up the yellow ball and you won't last long with regular lung capacity. Plus, there is a kind of plasticky aftertaste from breathing in the air inside the tubes. Overall, it doesn't really exert much pressure on your breathing and is almost no different than breathing in normally without the device. It's more of a qualitative example of how fast you're breathing. It seems great for people with lung problems that want to visualize and normalize their breathing rate, but it isn't something particularly useful for increasing a normal lung capacity like for the sports person. Perhaps it's useful to see how long you can maintain holding up a ball of certain color, to qualitatively demonstrate improvements in your lung capacity. Another thing is they recommend cleaning the device with water after every use but the water will stick in the tubes for a while and affect the performance.

The whole purpose of the breathing apparatus was lost because major part was upside down so that it would only be used by using it upside down which was very awkward.
