Must have gardening tool
This auger drill bit worked great. I have only used the larger 3" bit so far. It made it easy to drill holes in the soil to plant bulbs. The biggest reason why I bought it was to drill many holes and loosen up the ground to plant bushes. With the tough clay ground I have in my flower bed, it is normally very difficult to dig out a large hole for planing bushes. Using the auger bit on the drill made the task 1000 times easier. Easy to wash off too. Would recommend.

Augers for planting
Works well for digging holes. I agree with other reviews of using smaller auger first and then larger one for large holes. Great for planting from small up to 3 gallon plants. Just the tool to save time, faster job and easier on you.

Great, but wish it was a bit sharper
Pretty great idea. Used it to plant 20 shrubs one afternoon. Wish it had a slightly sharper edge, as some areas of our property had very hard soil to get through.

Makes digging so much easier!
This auger is very easy to connect to a drill and saved me so much time planting! My only issue was how many rocks I ran into in my backyard. Heading back to the nursery to get more plants!!

Worked for me.
Rented a post-hole auger for fence posts. After 1 foot, hit solid clay. Gave this little auger a try. Did the trick. Took a little longer, but got the job done.

Won't work in any soil that has not been worked before.
Would work in soil that has been tilled within the past year or so. Anything that hasn't been worked before this item will not dig into. I bought this to see if I can be more precise about planting 50+ cedar trees on my property for a windbreak and only got one hole fully made with this item. It will do what it advertises but not in pasture ground like where I was working.
