I purchased two dish drying mats - one is used next to the coffee machine & kettle, the other is used next to the sink & dishwasher.The mats are nicely cushioned which helps prevent scratches on my worktop & they do absorb some moisture from kettle drips etc.,I like to use them for stacking clean items from the dishwasher on as inevitably some items are a bit wet so this gives me a soft absorbent surface to use while giving items a final wipe.I also use them in our touring caravan, on the glass cooker lid protecting it from scratches and providing a non slip surface to put stuff on.The mats are super easy to clean - a wipe down with damp cloth is all that is needed.
