Reliable, basic solution for hands-free prep sink.Can press partway. Doesn't have to be all-on/all-off.Firm press required. Barefoot operation not comfortable, especially not both pedals together.Water temperature takes a while to change because the spout is far from the pedals/mixer.Installation: the inlets and the outlet are all 1/2-inch FIP (NPT aka tapered coarse thread--NOT the finer straight IPS thread). Use 1/2 MIP to 1/2 MIP nipples on inlets, and 1/2 MIP to 3/8 MIP on outlet to make it compatible with most common faucet braided flex hoses.Connections *will* leak unless you use generous amounts of teflon tape and tighten with channel lock pliers or better.I routed the outlet to a 2-handle faucet's hot water input. If you want to have your faucet handles independent of the pedals, you'll need a faucet with a 3rd inlet--ideally your faucet's spray wand has a universal threaded hookup to tee into, but many have a proprietary plastic connectorValve body doesn't have a mixing ratio adjustment (but you can heel-toe if you really want to). Upstream fixed/thermostatic mixer sold separately.These valves shut much faster than a faucet. For a home DIY install, water hammer arrestors highly recommended, so that abrupt on/off cycling doesn't wreck your pipes. Commercial install assumes plumbing already has arrestors upstream.Other thoughts: All commercial pedals are single-outlet, and none have a lock-on function. Chicago Faucets makes a more comfortable-looking valve with pedals spaced closer together.I bought a commercial valve for mechanical simplicity and durability. Residential products like Autotap and Izi-Flow exist, and have 2-inlet, 2-outlet setups that are more user-friendly, but they're pricier and mechanically more complex: the pedal is separate from the valve, and linked via a pull cable or plastic hydraulic hose.
