Above on the right is a new BEMIS toilet seat which I purchased within the last 6 months. When it broke (Crack on left) I ordered a new toilet seat from BEMIS (on left). The new toilet seat was dirty had the bolts missing and had a crack in the identical place as my original ,which was covered by tape. The identical cracks in both seats would indicate that there is a product quality issue. Regardless I am amazed that the supplier through it ok to send out a 2nd hand broken seat. I would now like to get a refund for both the original faulty seat and the 2nd hand faulty seat that was sent out in place of a new one.

This seat seemed great to start with but after only 4 months of use it has cracked right through. I'm not overly heavy, about 11 stone, so it's maybe only suitable for very lightweight people. It would maybe benefit from having 4 seat supports rather than the 2 at the front.It comes with a 2 year warranty, so I obviously contacted the manufacturer and they informed me that the first 12 months of the warranty is with the retailer. Amazon initially wanted me to return the seat....but made an exception when i pointed out it wouldn't be hygienic to return it.I thought by buying a well known brand i'd not have to buy another seat for a long time but hey ho in to the minefield of lav seats i go again...wish me luck

I like these and have had 3 of them over the last 25 years. Easy to install and sturdy. Do not use any cleaner with bleach in it to clean it
