Great - but beware the difference between CF type 1 & 2.
Digital cameras become obsolete when you can no longer get the required batteries or the designed type to memory cards.I have an old Canon EOS 10D that I decided I wanted to resurrect because it has a flip up flash that my more modern 6D does not. The old camera was designed to take both Compact Flash 1 and 2. This converter is a type 2 CF which is thicker than the type 1. Fits well in my old camera, without being too tight a fit. I have tried a few single test shots so far and it seems to be working fine. The converter has to be removed from the camera to change the SDHC card: but with the vastly increased shooting capacity I don't see me wanting to change cards so often that it will bother me. For a relatively small cost, I now have another DSLR that I can use as a backup. Great stuff! If you have equipment designed for the thicker Type 2 Compact Flash this seems to me to be a great way to covert it to use the more up to date SDHC memory.

very handy, but not very fast
I use the adapter in my Canon 5II, when shooting a burst of 12 raw images in rapid sucession and I use tha adapter with a 30MB/s SD card Sandisc extrem, it takes over 1 minute to write to the card, when I use an older CF card rated at 20MB/s, it finish writing in aproximately 20 seconds. basically the translation from SD card to CF adapter, takes a lot of time so if performance is important, then look elseware, if write speed is not important then it works perfect.

Not as pictured, but does the job for my old digital camera!
Item supplied ('Integral' brand) was different to that pictured, and was marked as being compatible with SD/SDHC/SDXC. I was looking for a Type II adapter that would use 'older' technology as it was for use in my trusted Fujifilm Finepix S7000 digital camera (only FAT16 compatible up to 2GB). Fortunately, by using a standard SD card (not exceeding 2GB) with this adapter, this worked perfectly well, freeing me from the growing expense of using xD cards (or trying to find Compact Flash Type II cards of 2GB or less - impossible!). Download speeds are not a particular issue for my needs. Reliability has yet to be established. I have docked a star from the product rating only because it was different from that advertised.

Crap
Totally useless as it is too large to fit into the cameras CF Card slot

it was easy to unwrap and once the HDSD card was put ...
So this item arrived this morning, it was easy to unwrap and once the HDSD card was put in which it fitted easily into, popped it straight into my Canon EOS7D (mk1) and rattled off a series of photos of the cat (just because it was there) the photos were more than adequate in JPEG mode (not tried RAW yet) there was no discernible difference in speed so in short very pleased with this item and recommend it to any budding photographers who maybe are on a budget or going on a safari and need the extra memory but haven't enough compact flash.

Is This Normal?
In my Sony DSLR the adaptor seems to work fine paired with a Sandisk 32Gb SD card. However, in the past I've always been able to hook my camera to my PC, using a USB cable, and transfer images from the compact flash card to my PC; this is not the case with this adaptor. What happens is that my PC doesn't recognise the memory card and suggests I format the card. Given my photos are on the card this is something one doesn't want to do!If I take the Sandisk SD card out of the adaptor and plug it in a multi-format card reader I can transfer images to my PC without any problems. This is no real hassle, unless of course one doesn't have or has forgotten to pack a multi-format card reader. All in all I give it three (three and a half) because it does work as an in camera adaptor.

SD card To CF adaptor
This adaptor was required to deal with a temporary problem downloading images from CF to my PC which stopped recognising my CF cards. I used this adaptor to record images shot on my Nikon D200 onto an SD card. I was aware that using the adaptor would slow down the transfer, but this was helped by using Lexar Pro. SDHC 400x Speed cards. The delay only becomes noticeable when downloading more than 4gb of RAW images. This slight delay is the only reason why I deducted one star from my review.

Good price and it lets me use an Eye-Fi card with my Nikon D300 SLR
I bought an Eye-Fi Connect X2 4GB Wireless SDHC Memory Card for use with a Lumix digital camera I own but I was frustrated that it wouldn't work with my Compactflash-only Nikon D300 SLR.I bought this adaptor speculatively for use with the Eye-Fi card in my D300 but also to make use of cheaper SD media in the D300.I was worried that the typical metallic front and back panels on a CompactFlash adaptor would block the wifi signal from the Eye-Fi card. In practice, the wireless range is less than when it is used outside of the adaptor but I can still take photos 10 metres or more away from my wireless router or iPad (when out and about) and have the pictures transmitted back to base. When used with standard SDHC cards there are no observable performance problems. So all in all, a good purchase.
