Metro 17-016 Air Force Commander 2-Speed AFTD-3 Dryer, Orange

One of my clients has an older model of this and it worked great so I got my own. I've used it for shedding and also drying off after walking in the rain.

Works as advertised. This is my third purchase in 10 plus years and they have taken a lot of abuse and dried a lot of dogs.

This dryer is really something. We have 2 aussies and a husky and paying for grooming is ridonculous and trying to use a regular hair dryer means committing to hours of drying. I can dry my dogs in about 20 minutes or so with this thing, outside (so all the hair is blowing outside rather than in a bathroom), and with the 2 speed settings, I can start them low and use this around their heads and ears, and then kick it to high for the heavy lifting. Only thing to note - it's loud.

Began belching black smoke on my first use within 60-90sec. Luckily I was just testing it and not using it on my white dog. I've submitted for a replacement, we'll see what the replacement does.Update: Second dryer we received has been working without issue. Plenty strong to dry a Samoyed.

This dryer wouls have been amazing if it weren't for the fact that it spit black crud out consistently. Out of every crevice it had. I puchased it in a pinch as I am a professional mobile pet groomer and my regular dryer died on me in the middle of a busy schedule. This dryer has excellent power and held up to my busy day, but it turned every white dog grey or black and left anything in its path that was light in color, covered in black crud. My extra gallon shampoo bottles, my white walls, my hands .. And the dogs I groomed. Owners were not happy and I am not impressed. Luckily I ordered anothet brand at the same time to ensure at least one would arrive quickly. This once came first, but after one day of use it went right back. Don't waste your money or your time with this dryer. It will cost you in the end of you are having to rebathe to turn your dogs white again. You will aslo end up towel drying since this is worthless.

Used on my Havanese puppy @ 12 weeks old she hated it the first time, now at 14 weeks she is good with it. Tip! after the first use I knew I had to use the dryer every day after for a couple of minutes ,now she great with this dryer. So happy with this dryer. Very powerful why I brought this dryer was the positive reviews did not disappoint.

This is a small unit, and blows really well. This is perfect for my 11yo daughter for working with her 4h sheep, I was surprised by the airflow. As good as $500 units

Really good dryer, but it is very loud. Took a few tries with our golden to get used to it.
