So I tried Glucomannan before after seeing it recommended in WomensHealth magazine, and didn't get on well. It swelled up in my throat and was very uncomfortable, and clumped together when I added it to soup, and overall wasn't a good experience. So I can't stress enough how important it is to follow the instructions - though Glucomannan is a natural substance, it can be easily abused and make you feel quite ill. At the end of the day, it swells up and does so in the stomach, so if you put too much of anything in the stomach at once, there could be a problem.The leaflet suggests adding the sachet to a glass of water 30 mins before eating, 3-4 times a day, and drinking another glass of water after the first one. I wouldn't recommend eating too soon after drinking it as it needs those 30 minutes to expand and line the stomach with fullness. If you eat too soon you'll stretch your stomach and accidentally overeat and feel very bloated and uncomfortable.The drink itself is okay. It's not great, there is some forcing it down involved, but it's not completely unbearable. It has a slight fizz and a berry flavour that's not too strong - it tastes a bit like very very watery out of date blackcurrant juice. I would recommend mixing it with a spoon and using a lot of water - it gets a bit sludgy and bitty at the end. (See photos)So does it work? Well it does make you feel fuller quicker when actually eating. So yes. But like anything else, it's an aid, not a cure. And as long as your mind is committed to eating sensibly, it will help in the physical feelings of feeling full, then its up to you to continue to not eat when you feel full. I felt a bit weird after drinking it but from having done it for a week, i've learned the more water you drink in that first ingestion, the better.I've got to say, as a product I like it. The flavour is the best it can be considering, and it doesn't make outrageous weight loss claims it can't support - it makes you feel a bit fuller so you don't overeat (and logic adds the weight loss element) and it also reduces Cholesterol because your body is absorbing less. When used correctly, it does what it says - it helps weight loss, it doesn't cause it though.

the drinks didn't taste as bad as expecting after reading reveiws although they are hard to drink. they made me feel full for a little bit but not enough to last till my next meal as my biggest issue is snacking however I have only had one drink so will keep going and see how I get on

Did not make any difference apart from the fact you drink 3 glasses of water before you eat. Anyone drinking that amount before food will not eat as much!

This wasn't for me unfortunately.I did a three week detox, using these, 3 meals a day using portion control, no snacks etcI was hoping these would help, especially in the first week, that week being the hardest when cutting down on food intake.Not only did I not like the taste of these, you had to drink quick because a layer of the powder seemed to rise to the top making it taste even more gross. It didn't suppress my hunger in any way and I definitely didn't feel full after drinking.I did lose weight but not anything extra than what I would have lost anyway with what I was already doing.Well worth a try but not for me unfortunately.

This stuff is good but u need to take it at least 30mins before eating with alot of water for it to do the trick but all and all it's a good product

Well these did make me feel full sooner. The active ingredient - glucomannan - does this. I'm not sure if it's the product that makes the liquid solidify somewhat, but something does. Drink straight away after making so the jellification takes place in your tummy. Not so pleasant to drink when it's got the jelly consistency.

Lovely taste of drink looks like it's working well for me at last I have something I like and helps me loss weight
