My roller brush on my Dyson was worn down and so I ordered this as a replacement. It was easy to install and fit exactly as the old one. Works as good as the original

i believe this soft-roller Needs a special MotorHead b/c it does not fit in regular Brush-Moterhead of v7 animal. to long and thick

Actually have not installed this brush roller replacement - I got it to have on hand when the inevitable happens (balding brush roller). I have closely compared it to the one installed on my present Dyson DC50 (animal), and it's pretty much identical to the ones that can be purchased from the manufacturer.With Dyson products, always always make sure that what one is ordering is specifically made for your vacuum. Check model numbers carefully. It will save frustration (we know, we've upgraded to better/more powerful models over the years).

Did not fit my V7 despite some reviewers saying that they do. I removed the brushes and fit them on the old roller and are back in business.

If you force it to fit, it will get hot and cease end cap on, so you can't even put old roller back on. Worst purchase ever. Beyond frustrated. It seems the part inside roller that houses the bearing is not in right place.

The perfect replacement that works as good as the one from the manufacturer.

I have a v10. This brush was about 1/8th of in inch longer than the one I was replacing and I could not security it in the housing. Had to return. The quality was certainly not a good as the original in terms of bristle count on the black and red bristles.
