Highly recommended! As you can see from the photo of the batteries, they were puffed out. A sure sign that they could fail and even explode or catch fire.This is one of the easiest tasks I’ve ever ever done on a Mac. The instructions were very clear and detailed. The only difference as you can see in the second photo is that the connector that they described was actually screwed down, instead of just pressed in. This was not a problem as they provided, a couple of screwdrivers along with all of the tools I needed to lever connectors out carefully and remove the batteries.The new batteries were excellent. High-quality shipped appropriately and even included enough sticky 3M tape to perfectly situate them back into the Mac.They came about 40% charged and I charged them overnight. Everything seems fine from the battery test. I will update if anything goes wrong. I expect to be using it in class shortly.

Purchased this battery to replace an old, bulging battery for my Late-2013 MacBook Pro Retina 15" (macbookpro11,3). Was able to install this battery with minimal issue - the only issue I ran into is you have to bend the wires to get the battery connecter to line up with the connection on the motherboard. Adhesion to the body is good but one of the batteries came loose when I turned the MacBook over. Just pushed it back into place, held it for a few moments, and adhesion was good again.Battery life is good - how it compares to the old battery is still TBD. But, I now have a working battery for my MacBook. Added benefit: my trackpad now works properly again. It seems the old battery had bulged so much it was preventing me from using the click/right-click functions.NOTE: for removing the old battery, I do recommend using Nylon string to get the old battery out. I didn't use any chemicals - I used a hair dryer to slightly heat up the chassis (heat up from the touchpad/keyboard side of the chassis - do NOT try to heat up the battery itself). This made pulling the string through the old adhesive so much easier. Also, have a friend hold the MacBook as you pull the string - this makes it so much easier.

This is NOT a bad review, just a warning to all us hobbyists, etc. who want to replace the Mac's battery.My MacBook Pro is A1398. I did not know that I needed to order battery by the SERIAL NUMBER because they made several different motherboards with the connectors in different positions. Best practice is to open the laptop first and double check but you can find the SN on the last line etched on the back of the laptop. (TIP: BTW, don't use solvent or pry up the batteries with a screwdriver, use twine or wire under the batteries to "saw" the glue that holds down the batteries!)

This kit came with the tools and support items needed to make battery replacement go very smoothly. The instructions are in color and easy to follow. The battery is working well. I’d certainly recommend the kit.

So glad I did this. Had an older macbook pro, and the battery was puffed up making the touchpad not work, and would not hold a charge. I looked up videos on this battery replacement and it is super easy. Got the battery listed here. Installed smoothly and all working great, it's been couple months now and no issues.

This arrived yesterday and I was a bit nervous to install it as many people talked about how difficult it was to remove the batteries. I followed the directions, used a little alcohol in a squirt bottle, and I was completely done and up and running in 1/2 hour. Thanks for the great product seller!

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro that inevitably suffered battery failure. Instead of taking it to the Apple Store to have its batteries swapped for $249 (as listed on their support site), I decided to go down the route of doing it myself. Its a relatively easy process and this set provides all the tools necessary for the procedure. It also contains a step by step detailed instructions sheet laying out all the steps clearly and concisely. I would highly suggest watching a few videos on the battery replacement process as it was a great help in understanding the steps before actually doing it. The only part that was a bit stressful was the removal of the old batteries as they're stuck on there pretty good. A few squirts of rubbing alcohol (higher percentage the better) and allowing it to sit dissolves the glue.The battery itself was a perfect fit in the MacBook and it instantly breathed new life into my laptop. The battery life of this was comparable to the original when I first got the MacBook and on a full charge, can last for the entire day and then some. It also runs cool and I found the MacBook running faster than ever. Great deal and fantastic savings vs Apple Care! Not to mention the satisfaction you get from a job well done.Note: DEFINITELY watch some YouTube videos before attempting to replace the batteries, it helps!Note: Also make sure to properly dispose of the old batteries. You can't just dispose of them in the regular trash!
