The Zombie Survival Guide Deck: Complete Protection from the Living Dead

Even though I have read Max Brook’s book, “The Zombie Survival Guide book” I also purchased this flashcard deck because it provides a quick and easy reference source for information on how to survive the present day Zombie crisis. First off, these are not the small regular size deck playing cards, but are large (5 by 4 inches) easy to read size informational cards.These cards are full of practical and realistic advice for combating the undead, which in my personal opinion includes, not just Zombies, but all kinds of other violent lunatics such as killers, thugs, thieves, psychopaths, the politically far left and far right and other violent insane criminals. Some of the fantastic information in this deck includes the following:A basic introduction to Zombies, the virus solanum, Zombie attributes, weapons that are the most effective to combat Zombies of all kinds, practical defense strategies protecting your home from a Zombie attack, what to do if you are on the run from Zombies, how to conduct a successful attack of Zombies, the kinds of problems you will face when it comes to terrain while fighting Zombies, types of equipment and transportation to use in battling Zombies.I personally liked the section on weapons the best because it covers just about every type you could imagine to use against Zombies. All kinds of bludgeon, edged, revolvers, rifles, and other tools that can be used to defend against Zombies are included in these cards.If you intend to survive an attack by the Zombies you need to have this Zombie Survival Deck.Rating: 5 Stars. These cards quickly and easily spell out different methods of preparation, protection, and dealing with zombies. And being in card size, I'm able to put them in my bug-out backpack. During long walks down deserted straight backroads through open fields, I pass these around to my team to review and quiz each other. One dude mentioned that when he was in a hand-to-hand battle with a zombie, he slapped a small stack of cards over his skin where the zombie was about to bite. The zombie came away with a mouthful of cards, not flesh, and the dude was able to make a run for it.It seems that people are using these for other reasons. We've found them nailed to doors to indicate a safe house. We've also seen these left as a bread crumb trail to a cache of water containers. I try to keep hold of all my cards, that way I'm always playing with a full deck.Roses are red,Decayed flesh is green.When the zombie apocolypse hits,You're on my team.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my man. He talks about what if a Zombie apocalypse happens. So, I thought this would be perfect for him. He loved it so much. I think he forgot about his other gifts. He thanked me and said it's the best gift ever.

This is basically every page in the book without a bindng... It was a pretty weak offering.

While this is almost the abridged version of the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks, I have to say that this is no different than flash cards of Military Planes or Vehicles that my dad brought home decades ago. Again, I'll reiterate that this is a quick reference guide where the rules of Zombies/ Zack are abbreviated or explained in a brief manner for "field" use. So if you forgot what the positives and negatives of using that B.A.R. against a horde of zombies that you've kept tucked away in your gun locker... pull out the card for easy reference! Or what the pros and cons of your S.U.V. are in a Zombie Apocalypse?Seriously, this is a fun quick read at a coffee table or in the bathroom... heck, I have both the book and the cards, so that might make my review a little biased.

As someone said, this is information covered in  The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead  but it also doesn't claim to be more and has the same cover art with the exception of being called a "deck".If you're looking for a good read, this probably isn't your best bet and should stick with  The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead . This is more of a desktop novelty item or, as someone said, bathroom reading. The packaging and cards are well done and very good quality.

I always buy my family fun gifts for Christmas and other holidays to go with the traditional. This was a hit for our zombie lover. I will buy something similar again for another family member

Awesome set up, all the cards feel ultra Premium. Definitely worth it. Wish they made a binder or card holder specifically for these cards.

These cards could save lives! If a zombie Apocalypse kicked down tomorrow, I would actually be consulting these cards again. These were given to me as a gift, and I was amazed at how much thought and originality had gone into them. Whilst the concept of zombie survival cards is funny, they go to considerable lengths to explain some of the pros and cons of weapons, rations etc that you wouldn't think of. Gotta love Max Brookes

Having read certain other items from this author, I can appreciate the thought put into it. It has it's humour and sarcasm and a few good survival pointers! I enjoy having this sat on my book case however I'm hoping I won't have to put any of it's practises into good use any time soon ;)

This card deck is information cards, similar to a book, filled with what to do in a zombie outbreak, a nice addition for a 'zombie nut' but not really anything new.

Excellent survival guide, indespensable in this current enviroment of Zombies walking the earth. Don't think I would have survived this long without it. Got to go...think I hear banging at the door.....hope they don't get in this time!

Great little deck, handy if there were really a zombie apocalypse! (lets hope I never have to use it for that reason) its a good little read and fun for any zombie fan.
