Works perfectly and removing bit is very easy!
Great product - works perfectly. The most useful feature though is the way it removes the bit by sliding back and forth. I own another similar product from Makita - and getting the bits out afterwards is a struggle. This is so useful when up ladders etc and you need to change bits.

Holds onto screws perfectly
This magnet bit holds on to screws really well. I found it much easier and faster to screw things.

Great for single handed screw driving
Wera stuff is always good, but this neat little idea is particularly good and especially well executed. You put the bit in the holder as normal, but then when you place a screw on the bit, the ring magnet holds it in place for single handed operation. Others have tried it, but nobody has done it this well before in my experience. It also allows you to single handedly extract screws without dropping them (really handiy when you are up a ladder...)Worth every penny in my opinion.

Initial impressions good
Arrived promptly, feels sturdy. So far has worked well. Only three stars for durability as I was asked to review soon after purchase so can't really say. Bit of a daft question really.

It's Wera, so it's good, right ? Right ✔️
Generally, Wera make great tools and accessories and the same can be said for this.I bought this, like a lot of people will, to be used with a battery drill/driver. Although it can be used manually, that is not what I need it for. This holder has a strong ring magnet that locates the screw onto the bit, that is held very securely in the holder. This makes it great if the place you are putting the screw means you need to stretch or you are putting it deep within a cupboard or recess where you can't hold the screw onto the bit. I found that it enables you do this very easily, up to a screw length of 100mm. Any longer and I'd use an impact driver and bit.The holder is chunkier than the Wera 889/4/1, 16mm vs 14.75mm and the overall length, including No2 Pz bit, is slightly longer, 61.35mm vs 61.2. So no issues with these dimensions. The bottom line is:- another great part from Wera.

Too Much Play
Wera makes top grade tools but sometimes junk as well. We are already inundated with imported junk and knock offs that are no more than scrap metal. We do not need usually reputable companies like Wera to sell junk. The lack of sturdiness comes from too much play or wobble between 1/4" hex shank and internal bit holding clutch head. Please note that I am not referring to the loose outside locking/release sleeve.

Works Great
I was a little unsure if I dared to order this because the picture shows the 57mm model, while the label facing say 75mm, I found the same item number on amazon.de and here there was 57mm I took the chance and 57mm model appeared, or 3 pieces . ;)I have spoken to amazon.co.uk and the title is now fixed, and I can confirm it is in the picture you get, that is 57mm, not 75mm model. And what a great piece og hardware.

This works great...IF like me you figure out how to use it properly
I finally realised that to remove the BIT you have to flick it up and down a few times and it will come loose, so the bit-holder is fine but I'm the problem!!

Terrific tool. After lots of use, I prefer it's buddy, the 889/4/1!
(7Jan22 update)I only use the non magnetic model, (889/4/1) now. I lost it for a short while, and immediately bought a second one. After a year I found it. Now the non magnetic one is on both my impact drivers. If you have a bunch of the same screws to put down fast, get this one (887/4). But the other one, 889/4, is what I prefer when I'm switching back and forth with bits. It's just that much smoother of an experience over the 887/4 model.(22Mar2020) So I have both this one and the Wera 889/4/1. Both are very good. The "SD" that you may see in the product name of some listings only refers to the packaging. Don't think that makes a difference in the end product. The 887/4/1 and the 887/4/1 SD are the same product, once you open the packaging. That out of the way... I have two impact drivers. I have been using both tools for the past week. I like them both. They are both magnetic, and hold the screws on the bit. The 887 has more screw holding strength, though because both the holder and the collar have magnets.I really like how the 889 ejects the bits. The 887 is also good, considering it also has a magnet in the collar, and it obscures the bit more.In the end, I am really glad I have both. If I'm doing a job that involves installing a ton of screws, I'm using the 887. If I'm installing and removing a bunch of screws, I'll use the 889.Both are a terrific upgrade from anything else you have ever used. I'll attach a photo of all the bit holders I have, so you see where I'm coming from.(Update 2Apr2020) I've been working on a project lately. I found this, and its friend, the 889/4/1, are very good at holding all brands of bits, even ones that sometimes slide out of magnetic holders. And they hold them tightly. I really appreciated this, as I have one set of nut driver bits that keeps falling out of the other four bit holders I own. Problem solved!
