if you weren't aware goto kola helps to keep your telomeres from shortening. So that means a pause in aging. Your telomeres break off as you age, and this helps that from happening. I use this product daily in my breakfast shakes.

Earthy taste
I use this stuff in my smoothie mixes all the time. By itself, the powder is a earthy greenish color and has a sort of salty, musky flavor. It's definitely not what I expected. I reviewed what effects this could have on the body, and one thing that scared me a little was the capacity for gotu kola to be toxic to the liver in certain amounts. Apparently these effects are rare, but as I was intending to consume this every day I think I am going to cut back and hope for the best. A small spoonful would cause me some digestion issues so I would say to use sparingly. Sometimes this stuff is used in skincare, so I am interested to see the effects on my complexion. I am already noticing a lot more clearness but this is in combination with lots of face washing and moisturizing. In all, I would have said it couldn't hurt to try this stuff, but because there is some studies showing hepatotoxicity, I would err on the side of caution.

Helps me stay sharp and less scattered.
I’ve been very curious to try gotu kola for its cognitive benefits. Some studies show that it may support memory, focus and overall brain function. It’s also believed to have a calming effect and may help reduce mental stress. Lately I’ve been going through a period where I need to process and remember a lot of new information quickly, so I decided to try it.The powder has a strong herbal scent and taste. It mixes fairly easily with water and feels very natural and unprocessed, which I really like. The packaging is resealable, and every time I open the bag, a small cloud of powder escapes. It’s easy to drink, and I haven’t experienced any side effects.I started by mixing 1 gram with 16 oz of plain water. One gram is about one-fifth of the suggested serving size. I used a kitchen scale to measure the dose precisely. Over the next few days, I gradually increased it and found that 2 to 2.5 grams was the right amount for me. Taking the suggested 5 grams makes the drink very concentrated and not so pleasant unless you dilute it with a lot more water. I usually take it in the morning about an hour after breakfast, and again an hour after dinner. The effect isn’t dramatic, but it’s noticeable. It helps me feel more mentally steady and less scattered. It also makes it easier to absorb and retain new information, which is especially helpful right now while I’m studying and processing a lot. It’s not overstimulating or sedating, it just brings a nice, calm clarity.

A Simple, Potent Herb for Focus and Calm. Just Be Ready for the Taste
This Gotu Kola powder from HerbsForever is exactly what it promises to be, raw, pure, and completely unadulterated. It’s just the dried and ground leaves and plant matter of Centella asiatica, with no fillers or flow agents, which makes it a great choice for people who want full control over their herbal intake. At 5 grams per serving and 46 servings per bag, the quantity is generous for the price, and it’s certified non-GMO and vegan, which is always a plus. Gotu Kola is traditionally used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for cognitive support, circulation, and stress relief, and this powder works beautifully as a base for herbal tea, a morning tonic, or even blended into smoothies if you're looking to mask the earthy bitterness.Speaking of bitterness, this powder is very green and very intense in flavor. That’s expected with true powdered herbs, but it’s worth knowing in advance if you're new to this kind of supplement. It smells a bit like dried grass and has a slightly metallic, herbal edge that tells you it hasn’t been processed or diluted, which is ultimately a good thing. I’ve found it noticeably calming and subtly energizing, not in a caffeinated way, but more like a brain fog lifter. It's especially nice if you’re trying to wean off caffeine or want a natural focus aid without stimulants. A teaspoon stirred into warm water with lemon and honey helps mellow the flavor and actually makes a great ritual for morning or midday clarity. For those used to working with bulk herbs or tonics, this is a high-quality staple to keep on hand.

Not for me
While the company and product appeared to be of good quality, I decided that it wasn't for me.

Makes a good tea
To start off I have to say it's well packaged so you don't have to worry about a mess when you get it and you get alot. I made a nice tea with it. You don't have to put it in a bag or anything. It will just dissolve in the hot water or smoothie. It does make a good tea with alittle honey. Kinda has the green tea or Morringa tea taste. I can't say anything as far as medical benefits yet but it is calming which is great after a stressful day.Just one thing to remember if your on cholesterol meds you shouldn't take this because it can interfere with it. There have been resent studies that Gotu can lower cholesterol and help improve the body after strokes it truly is a wonderful herb. Plus, it's great to have in the house just in case you get a burn, all you do is make a paste with it. You can even make your own skin care products with.Like I said you get alot so it should last awhile for different stuff or just to have as a tea but in your smoothie.
