I feel like this journal is my freaking child already. I was SO picky and couldn't make a decision when I was looking for one. I probably looked at a couple hundred journals over the course of several months before I decided on this one. I wanted a leather journal with lines, but I also wanted the deckle edge. It's incredibly hard to find deckle edge journals with lines for one, and I didn't want one that I might regret if it had an image or design on the front. I settled on the straight edge, but the pages are dark, so it still feels aged. I'm using this as the first journal in my life. I'm trying to "do the work" with self care and I really have no idea what to do, so I figured this would be a good starting place. This is really made well. The entire thing is so soft. Even the inside where sometimes leather can be dry and rough, this is soft and fuzzy. The paper is a good stock, not too thick or thin. I love that I can date the pages. Each section of pages seems to be in there pretty good, so I don't need to worry about losing any. All over this is really nice quality. If this was a gift I would be so excited to receive it. I'm actually thinking of buying more as gifts for the holidays. Whatever your reason for buying one, I recommend this one. Considering some are up towards 30-40 bucks, this one is definitely worth the 19 I paid. What I thought was pretty cool is that the strap is weaved like a buckle, so you can tuck the slack back into itself for an extra secure closure. And the strap can be completely removed and re worked if you prefer it close in a different direction.

I just received it and it has pen marks on it. I’m so sad bc it’s such a nice journal. It’s not that big of a deal, but when you get a new journal you expect it to not have any writing in it.

I purchased this journal for my husband who has terminal Leukemia. He can write down his memories and his thoughts moving forward. The card enclosed in the box was extra special. It says “I love three things in this world. Sun, Moon and You. Sun for morning, Moon for night and You Forever”.He is the love of my life and I will have this journal when is no longer here to hold onto.

I bought this to make a rustic family cookbook, and its absolutely divine. I ordered the red one, and the color is a bit deeper than the photos show. Its not a huge difference but its very pretty. Recommend.
