Utterly superb
At £80, they're not cheap, but equally - for a pair of decent speakers - they're a snip; you could easily be paying £150 upwards, even £200+. These speakers are incredible. Small, compact, expensive looking (the wood effect is great). Excellent bluetooth connectivity with no annoying "connected" noise. Excellent bass response (especially considering the size), clarity is spot on; perfectly balanced mids and highs. These really are superb. Only tiny, tiny criticism is the blue power (or maybe it's the bluetooth light?); I'd personally rather have no light at all. But that is a very, very minor qualm. If you're looking at these and have a budget of up to £100, look no further. Superb.

Subjective Clarity
Tl:DR . Its a superb product, wether it be for the pounding bass or the crispy mid-ranges. Pros: Bass- The unit itself has a bass knob which can change the level of bass provided, this was a great addition and allows you to get it just right for personal preference. Mid and Top range- The mid and top ranges of this speaker are crispy and by that I mean they sit in my sweet spot, the clarity is just right as standard. You can tinker around with EQ on devices or an external mixer, but out the box it does the trick. Cons: Bass again- I've found that in my personal experience when the bass is near its maximum instead of counteracting with balance the bass will become distorted, this is average for a speaker in this price range so is only a slight con Depth- The speakers are deep and I mean quite deep, for my perticular application this wasn't much of an issue and can be overlooked, just make sure to check the depth of your area before purchasing. Overall a great set of speakers for the price range and the added bluetooth is a bonus in its own right!

Would pick these over “better” brands any day.
Honestly, better than expected for the money. Sound quality isn’t the best but over the weeks it has improved and has become less “pingy”. Bluetooth works flawlessly which is a nice change from some other way more expensive brands such as marshals and beats. They are athletically pleasing and well built, look great on a desk or bookshelf, no charging which too me is great. Everything else in my life needs to be charged which at this point is becoming more of a Hassle than convenient feature. Personally, for the build quality, price, looks, and sound. I’d say it’s worth your money. I don’t typically leave reviews but this product has surpassed my expectations and I’d highly recommend getting these rather than spending 100’s of pounds on a “better” brand. Enjoy

Best power speakers I've heard in this price range. Buy them.
Good quality build. Great sound. Fantastic, deep, rich bass and a true sound through the spectrum. With these speakers I can listen and clearly hear all aspects of the music even when at very low volume. Only nuisance part for me is accessing the volume control being on the back of the speaker. I appreciate having it here makes for a cosmetically clean, clutter free appearance but when needed, it would be handy to have it on the front. In comparison to other powered speakers I've tried around the same price, these beat them all hands down. For years I have tried various home, powered speakers with subs, etc. While they may be quite complimentary to modern music, none have been suitable for playing my elec. Piano and other pro equipment. Around the lower middle of the piano, complex chords become very irritating. In this range there seems to be a sub harmonic introduced to every note. Add 3 or 4 notes and you end up with a rabble. On the Edifier however the sound is full, clean and clear across the spectrum.

Loud!
I haven't made any objective measurements, but subjectively they sound pretty good - decent bass response without getting muddy, nice clear highs, and the mids aren't overpowering, although I will probably have to invest in a couple of wedges to point them more directly at my ears as their nearfield off-axis performance loses some treble. They are, however, a bit on the loud side; even with the volume set to minimum on the speakers I've had to crank the volume on my PC down to about 30% to avoid deafening myself. As far as build quality and aesthetics go they feel solidly built and aren't too obtrusive, and overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Bluetooth implementation is both good and bad. Poor control of volume levels.
The Bluetooth implementation on these speakers seems a bit shaky. The good news is that they don't make a loud and pointless "Bluetooth connected" sound. But there is bad news too. When adjusting the volume, the level jumps abruptly. On my PC, volume levels between 34 to 39 are the same. Then it suddenly goes much louder at 40. Same at 47 to 48. It's like there are really only a limited number of volume levels, and the ones in the range that you are likely to use are quite far apart. Also, occasionally I have to reconnect to the speakers, even though I never disconnected. This happens about once a week. I have another Edifier speaker that doesn't behave like this, but does make the annoying connection noise. Over all I prefer this annoying implementation of Bluetooth to that annoying implementation of Bluetooth. One day, who knows, speaker manufacturers will do Bluetooth correctly? It has been around for 25 years, after all.

Brilliant speakers for the units that are not to large but have the sound that I want
Lovely bass sound from the speakers and lovely piece of furniture that blends in with the decor.

I dropped $62.49 on my Edifier R1010BT and have them set up in my home gym. I BT connect to them via my phone and get very loud and sound not bad at all, their price point vs sound blew me away. These are not Bose or any other higher priced speaker, these are $65 - $100 range speakers and should be treated as such, of course $200+ speakers are probably going to sound better than these. I had to turn down the bass since I found these to be pretty bass heavy. My wife can hear the 'boots' from the 'boos n cats' upstairs, and that's a no-no, lol. I love em and demo'd them to my brother who bought a set to hook up to his PC and he loves them. $100 or less, these things are a wicked choice and offer lots of bang for your buck!

I purchased this set of speakers after returning a pair of JBL speakers, for which I did not even get a chance to try them out since they arrived in open box/used condition. The Edifier R1010BT speakers arrived in pristine "brand new" condition, and the quality of the speakers exceeded my expectations considering the fact that they cost less than $100. The bluetooth feature seems to work just fine even though I do not use it often, and I do recommend Edifier R1010BT. If you are experiencing the muddy (low volume) sound on these speakers, especially while watching a movie online on your pc, this might help: For Windows 10, right-click the speaker icon on the lower right -> go to 'Sound' -> under 'Playback' tab, right-click 'Speakers' from the list and go to 'Properties' -> under 'Enhancements' tab, you will see a list of sound effects including Environment, Voice Cancellation, etc. -> scroll down on that list and CHECK the box next to 'Loudness Equalization.' If this does not improve the sound, then you might want to check 'Equalizer' and make changes to the setting under 'Sound Effect Properties' to see if that works for you. Hope this helps.

You get what you pay for ; it easily beats any speakers at this price point . Thought the sound is not par with its bigger cousin 1700 but definately sound amazing . Bluetooth function is spot on ; bass is punchy , treble and mids are ok . As the bass port is in the back make sure it not placed too near to a wall else will deliver muddy sound. Sounds best at 50 % to 80% volume. If you have an iphone & an itune subscruption a definate must have as a bedroom setup! Edifier should step the game up with a 6 or 8 inch woofer module for casual audiophiles
