Yes, these spring loaded pins worked so well for my lawnmower handle. I will be finding many other places to use them in the future I'm sure Fit: The dimensions where spot on and worked great for my application. I realize that this use case is not for everybody and has its limitations but I was very happy with it and will tweak it to be safer as needed.

There are several small issues with these spring pins. For one, the pin is not 5/16" in diameter. It is 8mm, which is .020" oversized. In my pictures I show a good example as well as the one I received. This won't be an issue for some, but for my application the pin is too large. Second, the entire assembly is held together by the cheap split ring that bent the second I started using them. This would be fine to just swap out with better ones, but the hole is not even big enough for the ring to spin through out of the box let alone fit a better one. In my pictures, I show a nice one that is held in pace by a shoulder on the pin vs this product. Notice the size difference in the ring hole. If the ring breaks on these, it will come apart. The hex shoulder is fairly tall. Not a big deal, but if you're using them in a tight space it could be less than desirable. As for the build quality, all the metal is nice and well machined.

I have now purchased well over a hundred of these. They are well built and good quality! The price is about as good as it gets. Sizing is accurate and they work perfect for my needs.

The spring tension is good, and the material seems like good quality (better than I’d expected). They do exactly what they’re supposed to do and I’m happy with the quality and functionality. They exceeded my expectations. 5 stars. I rate products according to the following scale: 1 Star: Do not buy. Very poor quality, functionality, or other issues. 2 Stars: Do not buy. Not as bad as a 1 Star, but it still has major downsides. 3 Stars: There are some issues as described in my review. Shop around before you buy 4 Stars: This item met my expectations and functions as intended. 5 Stars: I love this item. It exceeds my expectations for quality and function.
