Very strong and exact size that I needed !
My old ash door broke after 20 years . I think I got my money's worth , lol , So , I needed another one . Found this one after doing all of my measurements and it fits perfect . Well built and durable . Highly recommend !!

Great product, great quality
I am so happy with this ash dump door. I have had an opening for this in my fireplace for 20 years, and never knew I couldn't simply install one of these ash dump doors. The price is very good, so is the quality. Installation was quick and easy!

Not a perfect size.
The product is of very good quality, but I had to grind down the center tabs under the frame to make it fit into the cutout in the base of my fireplace. I have air tools at my disposal, so it was easy to modify but if you have no tools you will need to measure the opening precisely before purchasing. Definitely recommend for the quality of metal and paint finish.

This is the first ash dump that I have installed that I am certain will outlast me. I have replaced dozens of the stamped sheet metal ones that just fell apart. This one is solid precision cast iron, no actual moving hinge parts to fail, excellent design. Super solid cast iron construction.
