What is the difference between the eu202 and the na202, other than price?

Hello, EU202 and NA202 Speed Squares are the same. The only difference are languages on packaging. EU202 (read: European Union) contains writing in English, French and German. NA202 (read: North America) contains writing in English, French and Spanish. Blue Book is the same in all cases - metric and English only. Price difference might come from different batches. Swanson currently produces only one size metric Speed Square - that is of 25cm. Imperial (ie, inch-denominated) markings are on 7" (classic) or 12" Speed Squares. Consequently, Blue Books inside for the latter two are in inches as well.

Can you buy the wing nuts for this square as I lost one

The square is American so the units are imperial , I believe the wing nuts are 1/8 UNC it would be easer to take the remaining wing nut to a commercial outlet

what is the extra piece for; the slotted bar? How is that used?

Its called a lay out bar which attaches to the square for doing stair risers,also for out of square cuts where you can adjust it to suit the of square line.
