Does this product leave residue if you were to use it for braids

This product does not leave any kind of white residue, rather it melts. Because it mostly water content it hydrated your hair. I used it to create cornrows for myself and it did not leave any white marks but it also did not hold my hair; I have 4c hair.

Does this work in a similar way to eco styler? Is it worth buying in addition?

This does not work the same way as eco styled gel. It’s very oily and had little hold.

Is it good for 4c high porosity hair?

Hi I have to admit that I am not absolutely sure, however the way it proforms I would imagine it would be suitable. It is a product that gives moisture and shine without being greasy!! Depending on how much is applied to the hair and how, it almost brushes out, therefore it can or may need to be applied daily. Sorry I couldn't help more.
