Q: How is this sold for cheaper on Amazon then the company site?

Because companies can purchase in large quantities and get a discount. That’s why Walmart can sell things cheaper than your local small hardware store. My vet sells it too which is how I learned about this brand after my keet was in their vet hospital for several days. They gave me some to take home and I really thought it was a quality bird food product. When I found it on Amazon, it was easier and cheaper for me to order this way and not drive 20 minutes to my vet.

THEY HAVE ADDED PEANUTS! I'm not happy about this and will not be buying anything Goldenfeast again. It doesn't seem to be all that close to the old formula but the ingredient list doesn't look very different except for the peanuts. It definitely doesn't smell the same; I considered brewing tea with the old formula; it smelled that good, but as someone else mentioned, this barely has any smell.

Q: Now that the Australian Blend ingredients have changed, what alternative brands do you recommend?

I haven’t noticed any change in what I’ve ordered and received this far. I’ll have to see when next I order.

Q: Does this replace petite hook bill formula?

No, this is just another selection. My birds love this one. I used to mix the Petite Hookbill Blend and this together. I went to their website and Petite Hookbill Blend is no longer offered :(
