My son really likes this circuit board toy. It is good quality, the lights are nice and bright, the knobs and switchs are easy to use. My son stays busy with this for a decent amount of time. There are 2 of the 6 lights that are the same color and I do wish they were all different colors, but thats just personal preference and doesn't effect the toys function at all. One con, over time the aux plug-in part seems to have loosened overtime and will not stay plugged in, but otherwise this has held up well.

We bought this based because it said it would be good from ages 1 upward. In fact it is quite small and definitely NOT for a one year old -- quite developed motor skills are necessary for this toy. Also, while it is sturdy it is not quite sturdy enough for the rough handling that occurs at 1 and 2 years old. Overall it is more appropriate for an advanced 2 year old or older. That said, it is a good toy to get small children interested in more complicated things and we are keeping it for next year!

I purchased this for my 15 month old son to help him with his motor skills. He doesn’t love it. It’s okay quality. It’s not age appropriate. Hopefully he will grow into it. Price is very high but I did buy this around Christmas time so price was high. This you sits in his bin doesn’t play with. Not sure why. Package came on time and on fast. I would not recommend this to parents.

Edit: This morning when I was cooking breakfast, my son started gagging. I went to him and he coughed up a piece of metal that I thought was the tip of a shoestring or something. No one knew where it came from. It wasn’t until later that my daughter told me the busy board wasn’t working that I realized that the metal conductor tip of the plug on this toy had come off and that’s what my son choked on. I gave one of these boards to a friend, so I called her to inform her of the hazard and am updating my review. Still a very cute and well made toy, but if you have a kid who puts things in their mouth still, it can pose a risk. I don’t think there should be any small, removable parts on a toy aimed at this age group.This is such a cute toy! I accidentally ordered two of them, but once I saw the board in action, I decided to keep the extra one and give it to a friend. When I first opened it, I felt disappointed because I thought it was too small but once I actually gave it to my son, I realized that it was the perfect size for his tiny hands! He LOVES this thing. It is sturdy and well constructed (confirmed by surviving many times being thrown from the top of the stairs). I would definitely order more items from this company.

I purchased for 16 month old son. He loves switches, especially switches that turn on lights.Pros: this has 6 different lights that require different button presses to turn on. That kept him entertained while he tried to figure out the way to turn on each light.The lights appear to be LED which is nice because they don't drain the battery quickly.The blue light has a dial which allows your toddler to explore the relationship between the rotation of the switch and the brightness.The board is run by AA batteries which make it easy to keep charged.Cons: the key light is the master power control for the entire board. My son wasn't very good at turning the key, especially considering that the key had to be turned at an awkward angle the wrong way from his body. Most times I would have to turn the board on and then he'd play with the other switches. I wish there was a recessed or childproof on button and then all of the lights operated independently of one another.The board isn't build very sturdily. After a few weeks, I had to open up the board and re-glue the battery harness in place because it had come loose and was rattling around.The wire switch is VERY tight, so tight that my 16 month old was physically incapable of pushing the male end into the receiver. After a few months, the male end broke off inside the receiver, so that's the end of that.Finally there's no auto off which seems like a good idea when dealing with toddler attention spans.Overall: it may be worth $20 but I would avoid it if your kids are very hard on their toys. My son broke this twice in two months
