This clock was lovely, however, it is not a true oil-rubbed bronze color (which was the color I ordered). It is more of a gold with a few bronze streaks in it. I also felt like it was too large for the portion of my bathroom wall on which I was was going to hang it. That, of course, was my fault. I could have ordered a smaller version, but I didn’t know I needed a smaller one until I saw it in my space. This is a lovely little wall clock, though. I just need a smaller version that is a true oil-rubbed bronze color.

I bought it to replace a cheap looking white, with black rim clock that died out after a couple of years. This hugh 12 inch, and beautiful bronze trimmed clock is almost mesmerizing watching the second hand slide around without the one second clicking motion, and totally silent movement. I put in a AA battery about 3 months ago, and it look like it will go a year on that one battery like my cheaper old one. Classy looking hands and numbers make checking the time a visual pleasure. Plus it took five minutes to hang up with a 1 1/2inch finishing nail angled up slightly, into my wooden wall in my living room of my over 100 yr. old house. But it would look great in a house, as it is just a great looking clock in any time.

2025-04-06 Update: looses time within a day of a brand new battery and time fixed. This has happened since we got it. The second hand seems accurate so this is confusing. I can correct in morning and in morning and by evening it'll be off by hours. The thermometer seems to work just fine however the main reason we got a clock was for the time which this doesn't do well. Thermometer was just a bonus.______The clock feels cheap (about the same as one you'd get from Walmart). Every week or so I need to fix the time as it falls behind, even with a fresh battery. About every 1.5 months or less I notice it has completely stopped and a new battery needs put in. The hands are about the same length with the bulge being slightly closer to the center on the hour hand. Kinda difficult to read at times. The distressed look is obviously fake up close, however at a normal viewing distance it doesn't look too bad. The thermometer seems pretty accurate. Wouldn't buy again because of loosing time and killing batteries. I have other analog clocks that haven't had batteries changed since before I bought this and they still keeps time.Not a problem with this clock, just a personal observation: The sweeping, non ticking (silent) second hand took some time to get used to. I dropped and broke the old clock that ticked so I was used to hearing that.

Item arrived on time and survived USPS shipment although the package was drenched from rain and literally coming apart. I took photos, but did not return as the clock was still in good condition and works fine. Very nice clock. USPS needs to improve.
