RCA Digital Signal Amplifier for Outdoor Antennas – Extremely Low Noise, UHF/VHF Amplification, Easy Install with Indoor Power Injector, Supports All TVs and Passive Outdoor TV Antennas (AMP2450E)

I have a low cost Winegard yagi antenna in my attic that gave me a stunning improvement over the reception I was getting with those flat square antennas. But, there was one UHF station about 55 miles away on the other side of the city that I really liked but could only get at night and even then only in good weather. Reception for that station was hit-or-miss with no reception at all during the day, at night the picture was poor with lots of 4G/5G interference, and the TV would frequently lose the lock on the signal for 10 - 20 seconds.So, I decided to add this RCA amplifier after seeing the review by the Antenna Man. I was a little hesitant because even this "low cost" amplifier was about half the cost of my Winegard antenna. But I figured it was worth the gamble.Well, the gamble paid off. I got it installed with no problem whatsoever. And I immediately started getting solid reliable reception on that distant station. Now I can watch ION, Grit, Mystery, and Laff any time I want with a very good picture and very few problems with 4G/5G interference or losing the signal. In fact, the amplifier has cleared up virtually all of the 4G/5G interference I was even getting on the closer stations.If you're after a station that you currently can't get any reception at all, I'd say this RCA amplifier probably won't quite do the job. But, if you're trying to improve the signal on stations that you are getting at least spotty reception on, this RCA amplifier should do the job and deliver a major improvement.

I installed the amplifier right below my outdoor antenna and it works perfectly. Solved the breaking up signal I was getting.

I installed this on my digital TV antenna and scanned my channels and got zero stations. I removed it and scanned my channels and got about 20 channels.The amplifier I got must have been faulty so I sent it back to Amazon. I decided to just not use an amplifier.

It is possible I received a bad unit. This amplifier has mediocre performance at least compared to Televes amplifier that I upgraded to. The Televes did cost 2-3 times as much. If your in a fringe area with really poor reception are I don't recommend.

This Pulls in a lot of signals. I bought an Omni antenna (without the amplifier in actual antenna) and positioned this pre-amplifier near the antenna. I am amazed how many channels I receive. I live near a lot of interference factors and weather hasn't been kind and have had very little signal loss.

I purchased this item to improve my attic antenna’s performance. I installed as directed but when I connected the power, it did not work at all. Only when I disconnected the power did this work. Strange?

This amplifier has worked perfectly. Now the channels that were fading now are strong and good signal.
