When this lock works it is great. Unfortunately mine stopped working 5 months ago, I am unable to remotely manage entry codes. When I try to update an entry, the guest is automatically deleted. The whole reason I got this was to mange access to my short term rental. Yale tech support has done very little to resolve the issue. They have refused to send a replacement lock. I think they are just stringing me along until the next software update is released in some hope that will manically fix the problem. I also have the first generation Assure lock with the plug in Wi-Fi bridge. That lock is way more reliable and has a much better battery life.

The media could not be loaded. Works great on the device or through the app. Easy to setup and I love the Auto Unlock feature. No need to carry my keys anymore!

I bought this mainly for the auto-unlock feature. So far it has worked about 50% of the time. There must be a trick to getting it to work that I haven't figured out yet.I bought this lock twice. The first package came with incorrect handles. The door handles had holes (someone else posted a photo) that exposed the inside of the mechanism on both sides of the door. The second package came with the right ones. The instructions for installing the door knob were horrible. The were not written for this model. After a loooooot of trial and error I finally got it on correctly. I wish I had taken photos to share with you but I didn't think of it until it was already assembled and I am just not going to do that one more time.I like how the keypad is not visible until you press the Yale button. It's less obvious as a keypad lock.

The installation instructions for the door handle were too generic and designed to work for many models. It made the process much more difficult to follow. The instructions were also completely wrong about the door handle detent direction.The WiFi module was also a pain. I have an access point 4 feet from the door and it still didn't want to connect. After a few hours it did eventually just start working with great WiFi signal. The annoying part is that the product description on Amazon and the app both say the product only works on 2.4Ghz WiFi but both the locks I own ended up connecting to my 5Ghz channel.The app configuration is a bit clunky. The notifications about door usage are a bit slow sometimes but most of the time they arrive within 30sec.I think the most likable part of the deadbolt is the pleasant sound of the keypad and the chimes when unlocked.

I just recently replaced our older not-so-smart lock that stopped working with this Yale lock. This has all of the features that I was wanting. It allows you to set up auto unlock and auto lock. I have integrated it with Google home and my Samsung Smart things. Now I'm able to set up a routine to automatically lock at a certain time. I'm also able to use voice commands to lock and unlock (you have to give your access code to unlock). I did have some difficulty setting up auto unlock on my Samsung phone. But I disabled the permissions and then re-enabled them. Everything that I was hoping for and even more!!
