sweet read
This is my first book by this author, and I will definitely be reading more. Loved this book, sweet and spicy and gave me all the feels. Loved Millie and Coach and how their love endures and how they are able to make the most of their second chance. Love the found family and camaraderie with all the team in this.

small town, second chance romance, single dad— what’s not to love?!
small town, second chance romance, single dad— what’s not to love?!Ford and Millie were once best friends who missed out on being together when Ford learns that he’s going to be a dad. Ten years later, Ford is returning back to Mission, Montana, with his daughter, and the heart ache that surrounded when he left still lingers for both him and Millie, however, Ford is a man determined to win her over and get the second chance of them being together. The only problem is, Ford is returning back to Treasure State Wildcats as the head coach of the football team, where Millie is also the assistant director.I will hands down say that I loved this, simply for the fact of how dedicated Ford was about winning Millie back. He was dedicated to his daughter and trying to be the best dad to her as he was the sole parent, and her mum flitted in and out of her life.I could have done with a bit more angst and tension, just the kind of build on the mutual pining from both Ford and Millie, before they got together, but overall, I enjoyed this and it was a quick and enjoyable read!TropesSecond chanceMutual piningSingle parentSports romanceSmall town

not my favourite from this author
This book was just missing something. It’s a shame because the prologue was very promising however there just didn’t seem to much happening.3 stars.

Incredible!
I've been so excited for this book to be released and it totally lived up to the hype!Ford and Millie had such amazing chemistry and even after 10 years of separation, they still feel exactly the same way about each other. My heart hurt for the reasons why Ford left the way he did, but he had to put his daughter first.Joey was absolutely adorable and I really enjoyed seeing her interactions with Millie. Millie goes through a lot of emotions when she bumps into Ford again and seeing her work through her sadness when she meets Joey for the first time broke my heart. This was such a beautiful second chance romance and although there were obstacles and insecurities, as I've come to expect with Devney Perry there was a beautiful ending and epilogue.I really enjoyed this start to a new series and will definitely be reading Toren's story.

We all need a coach
Loved this book, such a good story, MMC Ford is relocating his life for his daughter after his divorce. New state, new house, new job. When on his first day he finds he’s working with the girl he almost had a shot with before life tore them apart. The FMC Millie has a career she loves but the boy who broke her heart has just walked back in to her life at her job and bringing with him his daughter who looks exactly like her mum, who used to be her friend. Can 10 years really be long enough to get over heartbreak of the man you loved more than anything, who broke your heart, who wants more, when you’re not allowed to date at work! This was a strong, friends to lovers, 2nd chance love story. As a Brit the only thing that stopped it being 5⭐️ for me was that when it went in to detail about how the football game was being played I had no idea what any of it meant so didn’t really add anything in the story for me other than confusion.4⭐️2🌶️

Yup, another great read from Devney P
I have read all Devney’s books and this one is just the best.Second chance romances aren’t my favourite trope, but I’m a mood reader and when the mood calls for Second Chance romance this will become my comfort read.It has everything, second chance love, angst from the couples history, angst from OW (only slight but ongoing), forbidden romance…But what I love the most - the FMC and the MMC acted liked adults, it was just this side of reality where, as a reader, you can escape and enjoy, but still real enough to believe it happening! Not the spiciest book, but actually that made me enjoy it more!

Second chance with a little sass
I devoured this sweet second chance romance from Devney Perry! I was looking for a sports romance that featured the sport but with fully grown adults and this didn’t disappoint. Ford, an ex-NFL star turned college football head coach returns to his old college team and soon realises his fresh start might not be as stress-free as he hoped. Not only does he have a sassy 9 year old daughter, Joey to convince small town Montana is just as fun as Seattle but he’s also walked into the aftermath of a scandal in the coaching staff that the college is desperate to put behind them. And all of that is nothing compared to finding out his college Best Friend who he kissed and ran in senior year is Assistant Athletic Director…and it’s his personal mission to not let her out of his grasp a second time.“See you around, Millie.” My Millie. Except she wasn’t mine anymore, was she? I’d lost her a long time ago when I’d walked away. When I’d made the wrong choice for myself. And the right one for my daughter.Millie loves her job and she’s good at it, she won’t let a college crush who abandoned her the minute they finally kissed take that from her…will she…?I enjoyed how relatable Millie was, her multifaceted character and inner monologue had me chuckling at times and being a bit too self-reflective in others (less of that please lol). The pace of this second chance love story was fun and I appreciated the strong female characters in the cast as much as I appreciated Ford’s no-nonsense approach to showing Millie he was all in for her this time and swallowing up her anxieties just with his presence.

EMOTIONAL RIDE!!
COACH by Devney PerryTreasure State Wildcats Book #1Tropes: Second Chance, Single Dad, Sports Romance, Forbidden loveFord and Millie's storyThis book was instant love for me! Our hero Ford decides to relocate to his old college in Montana with his little daughter Joey to become the head coach at his old college. Then he discovers that his best friend Millie from college is also working there with the sports admin. dept. She's the one that got away years ago when he found out his ex was pregnant with his baby. Thinking he had to do the right thing, he left Montana and married her.. Millie was broken hearted back then and now he's back and she can't stop thinking about him!!Once they give into their attraction they have to hide their love for each other or risk losing their jobs. I really enjoyed them together, their banter was so natural and witty. The spicey scenes kept me dying for more. The secondary characters were great, I enjoyed the plot, this was an all round great read and I want more!!!!

BE STILL MY HEART!!!
Title: CoachAuthor: Devney PerrySeries: Treasure State WildcatsDesignation: Book 1 (Standalone Full-Length Novel)My Rating: 5 Swoony Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I adore the collective work of Devney Perry/Willa Nash and have been a loyal fan for years. But, and this is a big but, that doesn’t mean I automatically purchase and five star her books just because it’s written by one of my favorite authors. I’m 72 years young and have become a lot more selective in my golden years. I may be a fan but I still do my due diligence as a reader by reading the blurb, the reviews, and the sample provided by Amazon. Perry, or any author for that matter, has to work hard for every star I bestow. It’s seldom I rate a book over 4 stars, but Perry definitely earned all 5 stars for Coach! I’ll admit I almost didn’t purchase this book because of several less than flattering reviews, plus I typically don’t enjoy any type of workplace romance. I’m not fond of the imbalance of power found in some workplace romance storylines. Thankfully, that’s not the case in this book. Coach is a perfect storm of contemporary romance with a well written first person, dual-perspective narrative, a realistic storyline with an easy to follow flow, and the editing is absolutely flawless. With so many authors now dictating their work and using software to monitor syntax, grammar, and spelling, so many errors are overlooked. It’s an absolute joy to read a book without so many mistakes and typos on almost every page, and Perry’s books are always well edited. The character development is thorough and balanced throughout the story with empathetic growth to satisfy the reader. The ideal balance of light humor, conflict, and angst, along with the perfect amount of sweet, steamy heat is the icing on the cake and kept me engaged from the first page to the last. I fell totally in love with the two protagonists, Ford Ellis and Millie Cunningham. Ford is a single father and the new head football coach of his college alma mater. Millie is also a graduate of the same university and is now the assistant athletic director. Ten years ago, Ford and Millie were best friends and on their way to being so much more, but their friendship suddenly ended in unresolved heartbreak. I quickly became completely invested in their story, so much so that I read way past my bedtime to finish the book. This one didn’t make me cry buckets of tears, but it sure made me smile. So yes, I loved, loved, loved Coach and highly recommend this standalone, second-chance, single dad, contemporary sports romance! Well done, Devney Perry! You changed my opinion on workplace romance! Go Big Blue!!!

Muy entretenido y rápido
Ha sido un buen libro. Aunque algo previsible y en ocasiones con pocos giros argumentativos es una gran historia por sus personajes y sobretodo rápida y amena.Si te gustan los sport romance está es tu novela.
