Philips Norelco MG5760/40 Multigroom 5000, with Storage Case

I never cut my husband’s hair until the Covid pandemic and shelter in place. With the instruction sheet and my determination I cut his hair and he loved it! Easy to use. Could have had better instructions though.

Before using this, it's very helpful to watch several "how to cut men's hair" videos on Youtube to formulate your game plan. Suggest you have a rattail comb and hairdresser scissors, too, for better results. I've been able to keep husband and son looking like their regular selves, thanks to having this set of clippers. At the time of this writing, have used these clippers 5-6 times during the 2020 pandemic.The advantage of this model, is not having to deal with a cord getting in the way. Battery life is quite good, am able to get both guys shorn without having to recharge. It also is nice that this model does not need to be oiled between uses.Hair does tend to get beneath the metal clipper -- it needs to be popped off to clear out the stubblies that work their way beneath the clipper plate. The other disadvantage I've come across, is Philips does not offer longer combs (the longest hair length for the Philips set is 16 mm, which is about 5/8"). In contrast, we also got a Wahl set of clippers whose combs' markings are easier to see and go up to 1 inch in hair length, because our son prefers a longer cut. Our Wahl is corded and much heavier; the Philips is easier to wield. Gets the job done, paid for itself after a couple of uses! (What, no tip for Mom . . . .)

The Covid hairpocalypse prompted me to buy this, and it worked perfectly for my hair. It was pretty long and unruly, but the clippers worked great right out of the box; I was able to use different guides to get about as good of a haircut as I could have just doing it by myself in the mirror. It's not too shabby for a beard trimmer, either, although the ear/nose hair trimmer tugs a bit and is sort of uncomfortable to use. Maybe that's normal, though, this is the first I've ever tried for that purpose.I was able to do a full haircut on myself by knocking a good 3-4 inches off in about 20 minutes. Having never given myself a haircut before, aside from that one time I got the scissors at grandma's when I was six, it was a little bit of a butt puckering moment to take a clippers to my head at first. This turned out much better than my 6-year old self was able to manage, thankfully, and after two or three uses it'll pay for itself. I was worried, but wound up really happy with it. The case to keep track of all the doodads is nice, it was easy to clean up afterward, and the battery was still strong after the weed whacking I did on my head.

Bought new. Lightly used approximately 15 times. Started turning off unpredictably during use. I would then re-charge it. It would work briefly before shutting off again. It seems like the internal battery is no longer holding a charge. However, there is no way to determine that because there is no battery indicator light to tell if it is charged or not. This is not convenient when you are half way through a haircut.I would only recommend this to someone if I didn't like them very much and was hoping for an opportunity in the future to make fun of their incomplete haircut after this cheaply made, quick to fail, product stops working.If you are in the market for this type of product I recommend spending a little extra to get a higher quality product with charging light or digital battery gage. Or, buy two cheap ones so that you have a backup when it stops working in the middle of a haircut.Either way, do yourself and your loved ones a favor and avoid this product.

One of the best investment I made this year. Considering a haircut in New York is $20 plus tip, I made my money back with two haircuts during the pandemic. My Phillips Norelco is easy to use, comes with over a dozen attachments, you can go from a buzz cut to a fade anytime. Once in a while I'll go to the barber for a line otherwise I cut my own hair.

I use this groomer on a weekly basis for beard trimming. It seems a bit cheaply made (so much plastic), but the blade itself is metal. So far I have had no complaints. It comes with many trimming combs, of which I only use two. It cuts well and the head trimmer is easy to remove to clean beneath it. It holds its charge well. It comes in a handy plastic box so you can keep separate the various parts. The instructions say to keep the trimmer in a pouch or sleeve that I assume was to come with it. I keep the trimmer in the styrofoam sleeve it came in, but that does not tolerate much use, so that will not last too long. It would be nice if the trimmer itself could be stored in a cloth bag for extra protection, despite the fact that it is kept in the plastic box.

I owned the 3000-series of the Phillips Multigroom for at least 5 years, possibly more. That was a great product that worked well for me the entire time. The only reason I bought this was to have more options for cutting my own hair and the fact my old trimmers required 8 hours charge time for 45 minutes run time.This product has worked well for me and was a great replacement for my old Phillips trimmers. The little plastic case that comes with it is handy. A great value purchase

Since the pandemic started, I have been cutting my own hair. After looking at many different ones offered through Amazon, I decided to buy the Phillips Norelco clipper. I also have a Norelco beard trimmer which has worked very well, so that swayed my decision. I have used it three times to cut my hair and it works great. It has more than enough attachments for hair and beard. I am very happy how my hair looks after I have cut it myself.

Fantastic...I decided to start cutting my own hair; save myself some money.The first few attempts weren't the greatest hair cuts but definitely have gotten better.I have some fairly thick hair and has no problems cutting it. I was cutting my hair by a barber every month at 30 dollars a cut now I only go get it cut for a special occasion. Wedding or graduation. Otherwise all self done.Gives a lot of options for guards to allow you to fade the sides of the hair.I only wish there was a longer guard options for the top of the head

Muy buen producto, ha cumplido con su función hasta ahora y no he tenido ni un solo problema, el material del que está hecho se ve resistente y de buena calidad, la batería le ha durado bastante, me hubiera gustado que tuviera algún indicador de carga, y el maletín en el que viene es muy practico

Used this the first time while being quarantined at home. Did a great job on my hair. I suggest starting with the longer length trimmer and then going shorter as needed.

Excelente producto. La duración de la batería es sobresaliente, al igual que la potencia necesaria para cortar barba gruesa. Las herramientas que vienen con el maletín son muy útiles y facilitan mucho el corte cuando se busca ser exigente.
