Q: The threads for attaching the vertical support to the base are totally inadequate. Can I bond the column to the base using pvc cement.

The description of the fountain states that it's made of a resin plastic. PVC is a resin plastic, but I don't know if the fountain's resin plastic is PVC. Perhaps the manufacturer could enlighten you. If the fountain is PVC, the PVC cement should work.
