TAMIYA 300061063 – 1: 48 WWII Model Set Messerschmitt BF109E-4/7 Trop

Another Tamiya triumph, the plastic parts were clean and detailed for the scale of the aircraft. Only bare minimum tidying up to do, and a sharp craft knife blade run over any mould seams soon dealt with them. The parts are thankfully not attached with large attachment points to the sprue so are quite easy for removing to avoid damaging the plastic. No fit or join issues with this one and the end result, after some airbrushing, camoflauge application and the decals applied, turns it into a very nice looking WW2 fighter aircraft. Hopefully the photos will do it some justice.

Loving this set so far, once piece was missing that wasn’t even moulded onto the sprue hopefully can get around it. Tamiya is great for detailing

The first one I've built and though it's a bit rough next to some I've seen in the reviews I'm chuffed to bits with how its turned out. I've since got half way though Italieri and Aifix models and the quality was so poor compared to Tamiya that I've binned them.

Brilliant kit as always by tamiya. But missing Swastika decals which have been cut off the decal sheet. Box was sealed so possibly my one was not meant to come to the UK?? I ordered another tamiya plane kit which did have the Swastika included.

I have been making models of all varieties for the whole of my life. Tamiya make superb models and I can't fault them for fit, accuracy and quality. I enjoyed making this model and will buy further Tamiya models in the future.

An absolute pleasure to put together and paint, although some decals are a pain! This was my first 1/48 model having always made at 1/72 scale; I'll stick with this scale now as the extra effort pays dividends.

Qualité Tamiya, rien à redire

Great model to build. Not too difficult but does have some small parts. Comes with a pilot figure. When sitting next to a P51 Mustang in same scale it looks smaller. But they were not large planes, so I think the scale size is correct. Painting it was a little more complicated than other model planes I have done. I think my only real problem was finding the right colors to use. Overall, a fun model to build. I'm thinking of getting another one and paint it in the tropical color scheme.

This model went together very well. And I was very pleased with the final, outcome.

Al abrir la caja, que trae dos precintos en forma de pegatina, imagino que puestos por la distribuidora, me encuentro que han recortado las dos esvasticas que van en el timón de cola. Señores de Amazon, esto es una maqueta, una representación a escala de un avión histórico real. Por esa regla de tres, recorten ustedes las estrellas rojas rusas por ser un símbolo comunista... el mismo símbolo que horroriza actualmente por la invasión de Ucrania. La hoja de calcas está recortada chapuceramente. En las instrucciones se hace mención a esas dos calcas aunque no se representan gráficamente, se indica el número y donde se sitúa. Cansa ya la censura en el mundo del modélismo
