Works a treat!
It was with fear and trepidation I made this purchase, as the reviews here are mixed and that always worries me. I was particularly concerned as I don't reside in the UK and was planning to pick this up on a trip home, which meant if I had difficulties or problems it would basically be game over.Yes: the setup is not as intuitive as it might be (but read the reviews of people's problems and how they solved them and it doesn't take too long to figure out). Yes: it took me a couple of attempts to figure out how to actually make coffee, as the instructions online, on the piece of paper that purports to be a Quick Start guide, and in the App are.... well there aren't any really.But: if the reservoir is full (well at least not empty) and your beans are in the hopper you can press a couple of buttons on your phone and a few minutes later you have great coffee! I mean: WOW, right? This is a completely unnecessary gadget that saves you all the time it used to take you to make coffee. So if that is what you want, then that is what you will get.Sure. It's not perfect. But TBH, this saves me so much time in the morning now, not having to faff around with filter coffee, grinding beans, waiting to plunge the plunger thing on the cafetiere, I just love it!

Best way to wake up. (Shame there’s no bacon)
As a complete coffee snob we had an espresso machine but the wife was scared to use it and as I only drink black coffee we decided to change it for one of these... well I’m so pleased we did talk about life changer. Getting woken up hearing the grinder going and the smell of fresh coffee is the best way to start the day. Shame it can’t doing a bacon sarnie as well. It was really easy to set up and the app is really nicely designed and straight forward. Pairing it with Alexa was a cinch and asking Alexa to make the coffee is currently my wife’s favourite thing to do (even when she’s stood next to the coffee machine). My only on gripe is one of the face plates doesn’t fit quite right but that’s a minor thing. For anyone who loves fresh ground coffee and had a hectic start on the morning this is ideal.

Very Impressed
I've only had this machine for a couple of hours, so will update if my opinion changes or any problems arise.First impressions: I love it. Set up was straight forward and I had it unboxed and set up in under 10 minutes. The instructions state that the Coffee Machine will only connect to 2.5GHz WiFi which concerned me slightly as I have a Google Nest WiFi which doesn't allow splitting between 2.5GHz and 5GHz. The machine connected to my network without any problems.Paired up to my Google and Alexa assistants. Had a minor issue linking to Google, but if you select "sign in with email" instead of Facebook or Twitter you shouldn't have any problem.The hopper on the top holds around 250g of beans. I'm currently using Lavazza Super Crema beans on the finest grind and strongest setting. Really smooth coffee with great flavour.So far I'm very impressed and loving the new addition to my kitchen. I'll try out the automation settings and update in a few weeks.**Update**Three months(ish) in and I'm still enjoying my Smarter Coffee Machine. Setting up smart home automations and routines is a bit of chore that I've given up on at the moment, but I'm not too bothered about that really. Makes a fantastic pot of coffee (between 4 and 12 cups). I've also purchased a milk frother for that almost authentic barista experience.**Update** it's now 13/08/2021. I'm on my second Smarter Coffee machine after the grinder packed up on the original. The grinder is impossible to clean and seizes up over time. This is a known design flaw and something that Smarter should revise on any future hardware updates. Smarter sent a replacement free of charge, which was great service. Initially I thought the replacement was broken on arrival, turns out my beans were too oily - just place them on an absorbent kitchen roll to soak up the oil.In the last 6 months the "Smarter" aspect has been non existent since Smarter discontinued their Alexa skill. Apparently they have a new one "coming soon", but I've gone without it for so long now I've given up checking. Not sure why they would discontinue the existing skill without having a replacement ready to roll out. Side note, it still integrates with Google Home.I still use it daily, but given that it's not as smart as it once was and is impossible to clean the internals properly, I would have to seriously consider other machines currently on the market. Even a coffee machine and a £15 smart plug can give you a similar experience.In summary, it's good. I use it everyday and like it, but based on my experience would probably look at other manufacturers within the same price range.

Feckin useless tech support/after sales
The machine when working is a great idea... not quite strong enough on the coffee but can get by...Machine lost Alexa and stopped working, contacted tech support which can only be done by email so so far have spent over 2 weeks sending and receiving mails every few days (very slow) to which they do not read what I have written and are asking me to send videos even tho you use phone up close to pair machine with phoneNow going to contact Amazon to organise a refund if possible or new machine

Great untill it's not
Overall the product is amazing. I brought it and it worked really well but then the grinder stopped working. Customer services where great and sent out a new one. I was in the process of moving house when it arrived I kept it in the packaging. Unfortunately when I got it out it didn't work. The water was not coming through. I am hoping its a user error because I love the coffee machine when it's working. It connects well with my alexa and means I had coffee waiting for me as I got out of bed.

Perfect coffee... above and beyond service 5******
This coffee machine is ideal, preset for my morning coffee before work I simply come down and grab it. What more can you want???Makes the room smell amazing the beans ground and filtered perfect for a great coffee. The app although some find not so great, I don’t understand why it’s very very simple. No problems connecting to it on my iPhone.I had only 1 con... the minimum cup was 4 (really world 2 large mugs in U.K. as I am the only one who drinks coffee it made me either waste half or drink double!!! However this is the addition that set it apart. The seller contracted me a few days later asking all ok, I told him my issue within the day they programmed it to do less for me without me so much as lifting a finger or even knowing about it!!! Just a mail saying sorted for you please try.Top notch service has set this apart and gave me great confidence I’m in safe hands both in quality and service.
