What a waste of my time
People who are interested in buying this item, have a good look at what all the negative reviews say THEY ARE ALL TRUE Ive given1 star because i can't give less or I would. I dont know how anyone could make this work. As soon as it switches itself off (a very frequent occance ) its not connected to my phone anymore so therefore renders itself absolutely useless unless you want another redundant attachment on your already full keyring.The seller refunded my money and asked me to dispose of the tag as there is no need to return it. To me that means complaints and refunds must be commonplace fo this item and its so bad even the seller wont pay to get it back.

poor range
The range on this isn't great. My Raspberry pi has extreme trouble detecting it in the next room. It feels very cheap, the beeping noise is a little odd. It feels like it will die soon.If you want a cheap BLE beacon then I guess this is ok, but it has an effective range of about 5m inside. If you're using it for tracking anything then I'd invest in something else.

Not sure of its purpose
Kind of pointless. You have to keep the item within a certain range of your 'phone or it simply disables the connection and then, when you lose the item, you can't track it...
