5 x MR16 MR11 G4 12v Low Voltage New Regulation Lamp Holders

If your light is going up and down in brightness it is likely that the wiring to the bulb holder has suffered due to the heat from the bulb. This bulb holder is well made and has well insulated wiring to prevent this. Has been in use for a couple of months now and works well. It also has longer leads than most so should fit most units. I can recommend this item.

One of my ceiling lights kept failing but I found the problem to be in the connector, one of the terminals on the old connector was damages and so I replaced the whole connector with this item, much better pin connections that the original and fixed easily, good delivery and great value too.

As expected

these are ceramic holders with pre wired heatproof leads and sheaths. used mine today to replace faulty ones on my Dimplex Optimyst Fire. A replacement bulb holder array from Dimplex was £78, so I'm well pleased with these for £4.99 and an hours work. sat typing this review watching a fully lit flickering fire once again. only thing was the dimplex fixing screws had large heads and did not fit in the recess of these, so had to find some smaller headed ones in the garage...not much of a issue though, still 5 stars...

Great value for money. I bought these as one of my lights was flickering despite different bulbs and transformers. I never even thought that it could be the holder until I realised that the protective coating had worn away somehow. Once I fitted one of these holders, no flickering. Did the job well and without breaking the bank.

This is the second set of these leads that I have bought. The problem the "new regulation" part tries to solve is overheating leading to melting insulation and shorting out of wires. The new parts have better insulation than the originals but the sheathing can still can be pushed away from the ceramic connector as the lamp is pushed into the holder in the ceiling. Two of the new parts have failed in this way. My most recent innovation is to push the insulating sheath downwards towards the ceramic connector and use electrical insulation tape to fasten it at the top to the wires it protects well away from the hot lamp before connecting to the power supply. This seems to have worked so far.
