Household staple
I use this to clean my whites and it works very well, it doesn’t have a smell to me, the size of the bottle is ideal for how often I use it and doesn’t leak. Great to keep in the house for multiple uses

UV light required - Note: Sun not always dependable in the UK!
I'd bought a piece of music equipment called a Push 2 online, and years of cigarettes and who knows what else had unfortunately turned the once white silicone pads yellow [gross]!! Enter hydrogen peroxide - this stuff worked miracles! I diluted it with water as little as possible, but enough to submerge the pads in a tub, and then let the sun do its work with direct sunlight for 4 or 5 days. By the end the pads were much whiter and I much happier! Everything on Amazon is more expensive now, so I assume this was good value. Then again I don't know anywhere else to buy a litre bottle of H2O2, so Amazon to the rescue! I will say that I have used a H2O2 cream in the past and that bleached the skin on my fingers (temporarily) whereas skin contact with this H2O2 liquid didn't have that effect, so perhaps given the results 3% is the way to go.

Used for gnats
I read and saw a video that a diluted mix of 1/3 hydrogen peroxide to water is a useful and effective way of getting rid of gnats. Apparently it occurs naturally in rainwater and acts as a fungicide. I used to water my indoor plants with rainwater, until I moved and my plants were at my parents for a time. This was when my plants were infected with them. I used the traps which did deplete the numbers, however they were still and issue. Once I figured out which plant it was, I watered it from the bottom with a diluted mix as well as spray the top of the soil with a diluted mix. It seems to be ok and the problem has gone. *fingers crossed*. My plants have been unaffected by them. I’ll continue to use a diluted mix until I reinstall my water butt to collect! Tips: - don’t put cinnamon on top of the soil, this will kill some plants and doesn’t work - watering plants from the bottom is best - use rainwater to water your indoor plants, it’s a lot better for them

Not a magic solution for blood
My husband has eczema and scratches at night and our sheets can get covered in small blood spots. I read this can melt the stain away. Does it work? Sort of. It faded the stain and you can see it bubbling up on the stain, but is by NO means a perfect solution. I poured it on the stains and left it for a few hours, barely any movement. I tried wetting the sheets first, nothing, I added washing up liquid, nothing. Still very much there but maybe more pink than red. I’ve had much better results from soaking it for a few hours in napisan and cold water (any oxygen cleaner). Rinse in the machine on cold and do two times. And don’t even think about washing on hot, nothing has got the stains out of the sheets I’ve already washed on hot in the machine!

Disinfectant for orchids.
This should be as cheap as chips. This version was the cheapest I could find. Using as a general disinfectant for orchid roots when repotting. Would like to see it in larger containers.
