Excellent
I’m 6’2”. Extends vertically to a very useable height! Single control to increase or decrease height. Can take a folder containing multiple pieces of music on the reading surface without collapsing. Well made. Not flimsy. Not that heavy though. Comes with a good ‘over the shoulder’ carrying bag. Would I buy another? This one is for my wife!

Excellent music stand, well worth the money
This is a really well-designed, sturdy music stand with lots of sensible features - I particularly like the one-handed adjustment for height. It also has a grooved music desk and sprung music holders, so sheet music is less likely to slip off, and it can cope with any thickness of book, along with side extension pieces (which tuck neatly away when not in use) so that it caters for extra-wide things as well. Also the music desk can be set at any angle, without a screw adjuster, so it's extremely easy to set up and fold away again. It's a little heavier than my old stand, but much less flimsy, and will clearly last for years. One very satisfied customer!

Most solid collapsable music stand I've come across
Hasn't let me down yet, although the canvas carrier bag did split soon after purchase.

Nice and sturdy
I seem to get through music stands - the screws stop working the top stand starts flopping so I bought this much sturdier version. Its quite heavy and not that pretty but it does seem to be doing the job.

Just what the doctor ordered
I already have 3 music stands so I thought twice about ordering another. However I play in a concert band and and orchestra so have to transport my stand around once or twice a week. So far I have a study one that doesn't fold so stays indoors, a folding stand whose adjusting nuts are far too stiff to turn, and a cheapo folding one that wobbles and tilts and barely supports a few sheets of music, let alone my band and orchestra folders. So this is perfect. It's sturdy, dead easy to assemble and effortless to change the height (love that button) or the direction it faces. It's a bit heavier than my other two folding stands but I expected that. And it has the advantage of an excellent carry case with a strap that goes neatly over the shoulder, leaving your hand free to carry your instrument. I bought the Gewa magnetic pencil holder which works great with it.So I'm very happy with my purchase, just pondering what to do with the other two folding music stands!

I'm glad I read the reviews and went for slightly more expensive model
This is such an upgrade from the stand it was replacing! The single switch to squeeze in order to release and secure the telescopic height control is far quicker and easier to use than the multiple thumb-screws on a typical music stand. The only other control is a single thumb-screw on the base which is nicely chunky to grip and comfortable to loosen and tighten. I found the design of the top much easier to fold open and close then other stands I've used, and there's even spring-loaded arms to hold pages open.Everything feels much more sturdy and stable than my old stand, even when extended tall and holding a larger size iPad Pro, but it's no heavier and it folds up into a bag of identical size.

Hercules - you are a God!
Barring natural disaster, I will never have to buy another stand again! I only wish I had bought it sooner.Yes it's heavy, yes it's bigger than most stands when you fold it, but so what? It comes in a bag with a shoulder strap to make carrying easy. It's telescopic! You just push and hold the button at the top and pull it into position. It could not be easier. The weighty base means this stand is not going to topple over if somebody sneezes near it. It's way tougher than that! The desk is sturdy and comfortably holds a ring binder of music, and the little sprung arms at the bottom help hold everything in place. It really is a one-size-fits-all product - suitable for short and tall, sitting or standing. No needless faffing with bolts and screws to get it to the correct height. No embarrassing mishaps when bolts fail and your stand slides to knee height in the middle of a concert. (This has happened to me - mortifying!)Worth every penny. Thank you Hercules.

Good sturdy music stand
I'm a fan of Hercules products for all my guitar stands and racks, mic stand, and now this music stand. It folds down neatly into its (supplied) travel bag and unfolds in seconds, able to be set a any convenient height for standing or sitting while reading music. Recommended as something which should have the strength to take the rigours of a gigging musician
