Quality always pays.
Few printer suppliers give you the ability to print on CD or DVD. When you have such a device then these items are probably the best to print on. Have used them many, many times and have not had any issues.

What is the Failure Rate?
Have used printable Verbatim DVD+R discs Verbatim 43512 16x DVD+R 4.7 GB Wide Printable (Pack of 50) (usually bought on spindles of 50), for use in my high speed copier to copy my master DVDs for distribution, for quite a number of years. I have always been pleased with them and they have always functioned perfectly ... until today.I loaded four 'blanks' into my copier (I had 50 to copy) from the spindle just received from Amazon (excellent delivery time, as usual) and one of the transports failed to run up. The copier copied the other three but produced a failure report for one of the blanks. On inspection it was easy to see why: there was an area of some two square centimetres on the data (shiny) side which had all sorts of discolourations. Looked as if the recording coating had not been fixed to the substrate - clearly not a disc that could be recorded on!Disappointing though it is, it is the only Verbatim DVD+R failure I have had in probably at least 1,000 blanks purchased from Amazon. Not a bad record - but does anyone know if a small percentage of failures is to be expected from Verbatim?

One of the best for the money!!
I have been using Verbatim for many years now and started buying them on the advice of several DVD copy houses. In all this time I can honestly say that I have only ever had one tub where I had around four to five faulty discs. Considering how many tubs of fifty discs I have purchased over the years, I think the loss of four or five dics is quite acceptable. As for quality, I find the Verbatim discs to be very good and use them for my wedding video business. In the early days, I made the same mistake as many others and that was to print on DVD labels to stick on the discs. I can not emphasis this enough, "DO NOT PUT DISC LABELS ON DVDs" Apart from the adhesive affecting the discs surface, if the label is slightly offset, the discs can stutter during playback or simply freeze the picture. Buy printable discs and print your designs or information directly to the disc. We all make mistakes, so when in doubt, seek advice! Its what the internets for!! Happy editing!!!

Reliable and good result
These are my go to brand for recording using my elderly LG dvd recorder (now 9 years old). Very, very rare that a disc fails to record and good quality of recording.

Good price on a brand you can trust
Not much you can say about this, except the price is very good on a brand that everybody trusts. Faulty discs are practically unknown with the Verbatim brand name - you don't have to worry about the picture starting to 'freeze' towards the end of a long film. I also find the + variety of all DVD blanks more reliable then the - variety. The Verbatim DVD+R is the one to use for recordings that really matter. And of course if you have the right printer you can make them look very professional with full colour labels.
